grateful
Yesterday the church elder in Switzerland, who resides over the monastery in Maryland,
asked me to do something for him that at first I thought was a very touching, beautiful idea.
I talked it over with my parents last night at dinner and they brought some common
sense to the task, albeit a nice idea. Ultimately they said 'do what you want' but
to carry out the task in a simpler, less expensive way was possible...and so I offered
that to the Abbess who hasn't responded yet.
I have work to go to tomorrow and I just received some info, from the Union I belong to, in the mail.
It definitely brings me down to earth from a highflying place mentally. I am very grateful for my job
and the hardwork I've put into the commitment I have to survive. I have a pension
now from my work and that's a practicality that will help me and be a legacy of survival from
the hard work that I have put in. My natural impulse might be to flee from things I don't like
(quite candidly) but on deeper appreciation, more grounded appreciation, in light of the struggle I have had to achieveĀ
stability andĀ manage my mental health I am very grateful for my work.
