Grandkids

I didn't have children, but I'm the proud grandma of two.  Some would call them steps, but for me, they're my grandkids.  Doesn't matter if we look nothing alike.  I was thinking of them today at work, what a great present from God they are.  They're so innocent, so full of life.  I love my stepdaughter, too.  But I see pain in her eyes.  We're both still suffering so much.  But the little angels are close to Heaven.  I think they just left there, so losing someone to Heaven doesn't affect them the way it affects us adults.
Anyhow, I'm forever grateful to my husband for sharing them with me.  My family makes me smile and gets me through the worst of times.

at the grief share Wednesday, one of the ladies said she and her daughter were crying and the grandson asked why they were crying so they told him because grandpa was gone and out of the mouths of babes the grandson said: grandpa is in heaven so don\'t cry he\'s not that far away....oh to be a child and at it that way and not miss them so much.....

My granddaughter also said I shouldn\'t miss grandma cause she is always here or close by.
Unbeleavable how they are as you said, so close to heaven

Children and grandchldren are God\'s blessings to us. They lift our spirits and make us smile. I count myself blessed indeed as you are by your late husband. Diane Baillie
