Grace in grieving
Since my sweet Chase has passed I find myself with a completely empty nest. I was not sure how I would adapt to this change in my life. I was uncertain how I would deal with my grief. With a heavy heart I looked towards the Lord for comfort. I was confused at first with the peace I had in my soul. I never grieved like this before. However, the Lord has carried me through this difficult time. I know I am not alone in my sorrow.
“Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is the sustainer of my soul.” (Psalm 54:4) Thank you God for caring enough about me to help me especially when this world is desperately in need of your saving grace!

Pets are the closest unconditionally loving families we often have. It is a heavy blow to the heart when they pass on. We need to grieve and give ourselves that space, time and permission. You deserve that. You are in my prayers.
I hope in time your heart will get lighter. May God be with you during this difficult time.
