Gosh 6 weeks on

Since my last post, I am still terribly broken, the pain doesn't ease, a day without tears is a rarity.

Why is today different? I should be on a high, I have applied for loads of jobs, and I have been short listed. Hurray. People I link in with on Twitter are delighted for me. My mum has put a huge dampener on it though, questioning the travel time I said, telling me that she won't remember and I'll have to remind her, not a word of congratulations or acknowledging that I'd be pleased. I know she's suffering from dementia, not diagonsed but obvious, but it still hurts. I tend not to tell the person I live with any news, and our communication is so limited.

Here's to your success! You are in a challenging position and it's hard knowing that you have to support yourself in knowing the your mum is NOT able to be positive-she hates losing herself and you're the only one she talks at.

Here's to keeping on and best to you with finding a job that gives you the sense of accomplishment-all the effort you're making is showing! Keep on being positive for you!
