good weekend
Had a great weekend! I have not had a Saturday or Sunday when I could just relax in I don't know how many weeks. The new term for school started up last Monday, so I did have class in session, but I got my reading done early for last week and my homework, too. So nothing hanging over my head on the weekend! I love this class already! I'm halfway through with my reading for this week, which I'll aim to have done by tonight so I can do this week's homework tomorrow. I like having it done early and am going to do all I can to keep it happening that way.
I was supposed to go to a cookout at a friend's house, but just didn't feel up to it Saturday. I was in that state of not awake enough to go out and not sleepy enough to nap. So I rested, played a few games, and did some reading, alternating the three activities. Mentally it was an incredibly restful day. Aaaaahhh. Sunday was okay. We had a rough start with DS1 throwing a major tantrum again. But we got to church where the sermon was incredible. It was all about going through a "winter" season--a season of pain (like a major flare) and it really hit home for me. I had quite a catharsis from that and my private confession. At the end we had a laying on of hands and prayer for those going through winter. Amazing. If you're interested in hearing the message, here's a link to the podcast. http://www.storychurch.org/2015/05/seasons-part-4-winter/ And to see the weather pic he discusses, see here: http://i.imgur.com/GiHLyDK.jpg
Today I'm feeling the usual "Monday" feelings. Not quite enough sleep, aches all over, etc. But having that restful weekend behind me has my stress much lower.

It sounds like church was wonderful. I love it when something clicks and we get some insight and encouragement along the way. We sure do need it. It\'s wonderful to be prayed for by someone you trust. It\'s a great feeling. Glad to hear your weekend was good. Mine was OK, but my car broke down. So, that\'s a bugger. Love you.
Thanks for reading, hon! Sorry to hear your car broke down. That is always a pain. I hope you got things moving again have some time to rest. Hugs!
Glad you got a really restful weekend. Sometimes bailing out of a social gathering is the best thing in the world! Church was inspiring and created an opening for you. What a lovely weekend of release and rest. May it carry you through the week.
Smiles to you,
Denise
thanks, Denise! It\'s true about bailing out. I would have loved being there, but I\'m glad I wasn\'t. Hugs!
