Good Weekend

Saturday afternoon and so far so good. During supper yesrterday a friend called me in tears so I spent at least an hour talking to her... we ended up making plans to go out for a drink. Then my sister called so she came with us. My sis and friend hadn't met before but they hit it off right away and really seemed to enjoy each others' company. We went out to a pub and listened to the live music; it was a nice evening but we stayed out till almost 2 and I had to get up and set up for my yardsale at 6. Might as well have slept in and just hauled all the stuff to the salvation army cause that's where most of it ended up anyway. But at least it was a beautiful day and I sat outside in the sun for 4 hours... and no sunburn - amazing (yay spf 60!)
My oldest son came to visit which is always nice. I don't see him nearly as often as I'd like but he stayed for a couple hours and had dinner with us so I was happy with that. Then I finished bottlling my wine and relaxed with a strawberry daquirii - yummm. I've already had a nap and ready to go again... going to fix some supper then my friend is supposed to call. She wants to go out again tonight but I"m not sure yet... two nights in a row is alot but what else am I doing right? She said the place she wants to go doesn't charge cover charge to its not like it'll cost me alot. I'll see how I feel when she calls.
Tomorrow I'm going to my grandson's baptism. It was supposed to be for both boys but one didn't get in for the prep class so there will be another one next month. I'll get to visit my daughter and two grandchildren but  my 'ex' will be there also with his new wife and daughter so it could be pretty awkward... if it is I won't stay too long. I can visit any other weekend and they won't come around if I'm there; its only because of the baptism that they would even be in the same room with me. Not that I have a big problem with it but 'she' apparently hates me and is jealous - somehow she thinks I'd want him back (so not true). Anyway, we'll see what tomorrow brings... at least I'll see the babies and my dd.
French class is switched to Monday this week and Tuesday I've made plans to meet an old friend for coffee after work. I had made this plan two weeks ago and backed out... just couldn't do it (anxiety) but this time I'm determined to follow through. I can't make excuses every time. I'm sure it will work out fine I just have this awful feeling that we'll have nothing to talk about; strange because I rarely have trouble making conversation. I'll be sure to read the paper every day and have some topics up my sleeve in case I feel stuck. My social calendar seems to be awfully full these days... not a bad thing I guess. I know it will slow down and I'll be wondering what to do with myself.

You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.
