good vision

I think I like it here (the monastery) so much because philosophically it is so safe. It’s community based on a code. It’s given me space and safety to realize when I come back to my room at night that I can now wonder, something good health has given me, ‘who is my home base?’. My family each has their home bases. Mine is Blue. Mine is the supportive and dedicated relationship with this support group and the  relationship with my therapist.

.
If I really think about wanting a significant other, the task ahead seems too much.

I think in a limited way ‘what feels good and what about safety?’ Admitting that opens doorways

to knew thought.

I know everyone is looking for safety and charged with the task of taking care of their life out there.

And there’s wages of significant other relationships, though that sounds maybe creepy, but I’ve seen some know they to afford one's  life you also have to afford a relationship too? It seems part of it.

If I can’t live in Canada or Europe, which I would prefer, then living here at St. Sidonia's is good.

It’s like living in a philosophy. As I said.

I wrote this to my sister.

things are good, I hope things are good there. This place has taught me so much. About what I like but also my responsibility going forward. Part of me feels frightened about what lies ahead but that’s healthy fear. I realize to feel of value about my life and endeavor that I’d love to feel in a tradition of things. A solid citizen, a contributing citizen. I feel that way when I am in countries like the UK or Canada. I think in knowing it about myself I can manifest that in my life here.
It’s just something I have to think about to make me feel valid.

I feel like I am ready to find work - and yet maybe the work here at the monastery IS that work.

But maybe realistically I can know that this place is my main focus professionally - but there's a couple of
bookstores close by that maybe I can get part time work at just to bring in some additional $.

when I get back from Greece, I am going to ask the elder and the abbess about getting
a part time job at the bookstore. I've looked at the application and the location.

Oh wow you're going to Greece!!

That's fabulous Marky!
Do you speak fluent Greek?

Yum the food will be wonderful

It's so nice that you're feeling more at home

All relationship's take work and compromise

None moreso than intimate relationship's

A lot of turning the other cheek

A bookstore would be nice to work at

You could see if you can manage given all the work at the Monestary

Big hug sweetie...xo

who is your home base? as in a fellow human as home base? methinks i'm lost in metaphor again. i can't seem to shake the image of the home run enthusiasm smashing baseball cleats into somebody's face.

but i'll let you get away with exactly that, or worse, if it means i can go to greece with you. do you get to stay at the Petraki Monastery?
