GOOD TO BE BACK

Well, it is good to be back with all of my DS friends. I feel like I have been off line forever. I have tried to respond to most of your recent journals but apologizes to anyone I missed. Life has been fairly quiet here. Lots of snow last weekend. Yuck!! But this week had warmer temps and some rain so in has dropped some. But we may get more this week. Here in the Maritimes, spring is a long way off.I think I told you that my crown fell off last week and it was several days before I could get into the dentist due to a weekend and a strom day. Well, the news was not good. Somehow, the inside part had cracked and the tooth next to it had developed an abcess for some reason. So I am on antibiotics for that and I need I root canal on it. Great! Plus the tooth with the broken part where my crown came off will have to be replaced with either a brdge, an implant or a partial plate. Well, the partial is out because I can’t stand them. So we are looking at the other two options and hold on to your socks... cost will run about $5000.00!!! This is for one freaking tooth!! But I don’t have to have it done right away. He was able to re-cement the crown on and we will be babying it along. I will be super careful about what I chew on that side. I think I should have been a dentist.Now for some exciting news... I went to a plastic surgeon last week to inquire about having a little work done. No, there will be no slice and dice!!! I am having some fillers done around my mouth and chin area plus a tiny bit of botox. My wrinkles are not deep but they bug me so I want them gone. The treatment lasts for a year plus. I am having it done this Thursday coming. I am excited. He said I will see immediate results but that it takes about two weeks to get the full affect. I don’t like getting old. The hell with growing old gracefully. I am going to fight it every inch of the way. I am a little too vain. I’ll let you know how it turns out.I have had yet another flu but I am feeling better today. I was really achy and stiff this morning so I got into the hot tub and wow what a difference. I hope that I can even get out of the house today. I have "cabin fever".Well, I have been up for hours and have not eaten so my tummy is saying "feed me".
