Good time

School Christmas vacation is just about over.  They go back tomorrow.  We had an unexpectedly great time with each of the 3 older GC.  It was so much better than I originally thought since I was sure we wouldn't see anyone.  Each of these GC light up a room and fill it with light and love.  I pray that each of you be given this gift in your life soon.  I am hoping now to have 1 child for 2 days/1 night once a month if they can work it out with their Dad.  I know each one wants this very much.
We took our middle GC (GD) home today and when I took her to her door, she asked me to come in which I wasn't sure if I should or shouldn't do.  I usually do see the kids into the house. (DH stays in the car because he knows that if the 2 of them see each other, there will be all out war over the way ES has treated me - us.)  Our ES has been pleasant and decent when I have come to pick up or deliver each GC.  Today, he couldn't be bothered.  I have a feeling it has something to do with GF but can't guess since he wouldn't talk.  I got a couple of grunts was all.  (I did make a mistake, I meant to call middle GD about the time we would get her for our house but accidently called ES phone which strangely wasn't blocked.  He got very angry since he was at work and it wasn't anything urgent.  I tried to explain what happened but he wouldn't listen.  So that could be the reason for his ignoring me today.)  Yes, I have to admit it still hurts but I will not go chasing after him nor ask what is wrong.  I'm done with that.  Just hope it doesn't interfere with seeing the kids.
When I went into the door, the 2 youngest GDs came down from upstairs to see me.  Six year old was so happy to see me and told me she misses us and give Papa a hug for her.  The three year old was even friendly and outgoing (not nearly as shy) so that was extra topping on the cake.  I will be positive and thankful for all our blessings.  These were certainly miraculous, blessed days.  Praying there will be more but who knows?  I some times think that ES has something very wrong with his mind and personality.  Why else would any of our EC do this to us?  I can't handle it any longer and have decided to have as little contact as possible since he has made it clear that is what he wants.  Just want the GC - what a blessing.
Hugs and prayers

I\'m sorry your ES son blew up at you for something so trivial. My ED does the same thing. I never know when something I say or do is going to set her off and of course, she won\'t tell us what\'s wrong. So glad you are enjoying time with your grandchildren. We enjoyed time with ours too.

I think it\'s wonderful you had such a great Christmas. You certainly deserved it. Your son in time will realize (who knows he may already realize) what he\'s doing. It\'s very telling though that your grandchildren greet you with such love and truly want to spend time with you and that when they are away they miss you. I\'m guessing that they were asking when they were going to see you again (before Christmas) and that\'s why arrangements were made. Your son doesn\'t want to deprive them of what they want - so at least he can see that much. Over time, he will change his tune. I think you\'re doing the right thing by not chasing after him. He has to make that move, especially after all of the things he said. But let\'s celebrate the time you had and will continue to have with your grandchildren. Love is very powerful and children gravitate to it. They know when they are loved and your grandchildren love you too!!!
