Good Sunday
It was a 10 hour day of traveling to Pennsylvania,
visiting and then driving back. It was a good change of pace for a Sunday.
Things are good.
I thought about a lot of things today..I thought about how I can be detail oriented and how that manifests -- also just wondered about the legitimacy
of my own life and experience - feeling like an imposter but then too I saw that I was always hearkening back to my Dad and family -a place where I get that measure and that struck me - I thought about my status here at the monastery. I thought about what I wanted to do for a change- rather than just fitting myself into a professional thing that sustains me -
that engenders a real limited vision I've found..... and so I thought about what do I want to do?! What do I like doing! ??:)
Anyways I was in the car and I felt apprehensive at first retentive about my own life next to my co-traveler but I relaxed into my adventure today with Father A. I just realized I've gotta open up!
He can be spikey but we made the best of it - and shared driving and conversation
etc..
The beauty of this place and the fact that I get hugs - and pats on the back and love
and yet along with some spikiness now and then - but that's life maybe...
Things are good. I hope you all had a spectacular weekend! :)
See my therapist on Tuesday! I can't wait!
:)

ya got me ancient herstory surfin' again. way back in the 20th century i did considerable therapy work for, "imposter syndrome" my prison family birthright didn't fit into corporate structures too well, not even the corps where blue jeans and t-shirts were the company dress code. now that i read it here i find myself wondering if it's still "a thing" or just another tidbit from my early psychotherapy which didn't make the internet. it made the internet, but i don't hear much about it any more.
and? ? ? is it still a thing in your world, father questionarius?
