good night

It’s weird I laid down tonight to go to sleep

And tonight the voice was saying’what is my relationship’? And I remembered how in grammar school they taught us the questions of’who what where when and why’ so the voice was my own desire in the attempted sleep in the quiet of my mind. Giving it a focal point of reference. I then found myself starting to realize it’s definitely an insecurity that’s there for me but maybe I’ll put it to sleep with usual routine and better more agencied cognition.

And that’s how the voices are always giving a relationship when the mind is too tired or just wanting one of its own. Needing to relate. I’ve described it metaphorically before as a gps trying to find it’s satellite link.

Other thoughts as I try to sleep which again is about having a steady reference point/relationship.

When we don’t understand something it can be frightening sometimes.

Is there a point when we reach the threshold of adapting?

peace and good night.

i love the analogy of a gps trying to find its satellite link. one of my favorite analogies for my own condition is the old world television grid. inside that system, i am a capacitor which stores up the video streams to a transmissible capacity, then releases a full, serviceable burst. when i fail to send my video stream, the capacitor explodes. don't know if you have enough electrical awareness to know what happens when a capacitor blows, but? ? ? it ain't pretty.

at 67, i am beginning to suspect i never will find that adapting threshold. i have frequently thought so, but life always has other plans and somehow i keep on adapting to the demands. i strongly suspect that death will demand still more adapting.

yo! ! ! cosmos! ! ! do i get an opinion here?

Oh those good night thought patterns! I have to shy away from writing at bedtime if I want to get any sleep, otherwise the mouse on the wheel in my brain will just keep going…. faster and faster and faster.

I hope you got decent sleep. Sounds like you’re processing a lot and looking forward to the future. All the new smarts and wisdoms will steer you well. Think, but don’t overthink. That’s what I tell myself.
