good news and bad news
As the title says, I have good news and bad news. I'll start with the bad news. When I went to the Dr. I had gained 5 lbs since before Christmas. Therefore, I am quitting the fast 5 program and going back on my own program I was using before and losing weight. (having a small meal for breakfast -more like a snack, having my largest meal at lunchtime-around 2 or 3 o'clock, and having a snack for dinner. The fast five program says it takes like 3 weeks to kick in but I can't take the chance on gaining any more weight. The good news is I had an angiogram yesterday, and it showed that my heart is not as bad as they thought. It is weakened but only mildly and he cleared me for surgery! I couldn't reach my surgeion yesterday to set up a date, but monday a.m. I'll be calling him and setting it up. I felt so relieved when the cardiologist told me he thought I would do well with the surgery, and that I could reverse the damage to my heart with weight loss and exercise and heart-healthy eating. yaaay heart! Another bit of good news is I got my wii system. I can't use it for a couple of days due to the holes they punched in my artery on my wrist to do the angiogram, but I was using it before the proceedure and it's a fun way to get movement in. When I'm feeling tired it encourages me to keep going cuz I want to beat my last score. One more bit of good news, the new school term has started and it's keeping me busy with homework and such thus occupying my mind and keeping it off food. Speaking of which, I need to get off the computer and get to work. Love ya all! Thanks for all your encouraging words.
