good news........!

thank God for an answer to prayer.......Mia returned herself to her carrier.......yup, couldn't believe it, i put the open door carrier near her hiding place and this morning she was curled up inside.  who woulda thought? 

but oh my goodness, yayyyyyyy!

so i served her breakfast in her carrier as an immediate reward and yes Rio also got a nice breakfast too!  right now Rio is sitting on the living room rug beneath the mirror project......the table is covered in half of a clear plastic dropcloth and i think he likes the sounds it makes, and the feeling we kids used to get hiding under a bedspread or one of Mom's tablecloths over a piece of furniture in her living room.......yes, her living room, she was forever trying to keep it clean and ready for company and all five of her children were notorious for living in that room.........coloring, watching tv, putting our feet on the sofa, sitting on the arms of the chairs.......sitting TOO close to the squawk box as Dad would sometimes call it.......i had lazy eye as a toddler so my Mom put tape on the floor to mark my viewing distance perameter.......and sit my little chair just beyond that tape mark.  hah, she would leave the room and i would pull up the tape and get closer to Captain Kangaroo........!!! as if she wouldn't know........this led to my needing a patch, which caused bitter little girl tears, i wanted to be THE PRINCESS, not the PIRATE!

little girl memories.......but Miss Mia Sailor has been reinstalled in the master bathroom....so she'll be able to keep her doctor's appointment on Monday......thank goodness!  i put her litter box in a bigger cardboard box to try keeping the litter from overtaking Stella's work in there yesterday.......Stella scrubs like there's no tomorrow in that room! 

I sure do like Stella.......she's wonderful! 

I gaver her a little container of crunchy kitty chow, some fresh water........a bigger nightlight to keep her company and I'll go in there ever hour to cuddle with her.

today i think i'll try to paint the details on the big blue mirror.  i plan to paint the flowers a soft pretty yellow......then add sage green onto the petals......and then add some soft white to the swirls.......don't know the technical name for the whirl design.....so swirels will have to do!  this mirror is big/heavy, i sat it on top of a plastic tray so that while i'm working on it i can "twirl" the tray around instead of having to lift the mirror often.......this made me feel like a smart kid ........so often the brain fog has me trapped in the land of duh uh huh huh huh, so to think of a better way to do anything around here feels like i might be smarter than a fifth grader!

i'm watching movies this week end......Flock of Four was pretty good......now I'm watching a movie about drugs, the club scene in NY, the NYPD....with Mark Wahlberg, Joaquin Phoenix and oh jeez, what was the name of the actor who played the pit crew boss in the racing movie with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman????  um, yeah, that guy......not DeNiro......wow, what IS HIS NAME?  no clue what the movie is called.........Rio is in here sniffing the hiding corner........bless his heart, maybe he thinks small kitty intruders can come out of there at any time........til there is no room for him.  poor darling, Rio.........he will adjust in time.  I HAVE to believe that!
