Good Neuro Visit

Ack I did it again.  Yes, B, I will have to start typing this in word perfect and copy and paste.  Next time.
The neuro nurse practitioner is pleased with my progress.  She cannot increase the prograf, because my enzyme levels are still pretty high, but improving.  After this labwork, if most things look good, I will go to monthly labs and every 6 week IVIG after September.  I am excited.
I asked about a flu shot and she asked me to hold off.  She is going to a symposium dealing with vaccinations and immune suppression, so she will let me know in November.
I asked about my leg rash/sore that doesn't heal with IVIG and she, like me, feels that this spot may not be the DM but a stasis ulcer or something else.  My MD will have to look at it.
I am so glad to be getting somewhere.  I did not even get scolded for the walking!  15 minutes a day for now.  I so feel like I'm getting a piece of my life back.

Deb
Someone said something about using the arrows to go back. I have found that sometimes works.

I think part of the lack of healing is due to immune suppression. Before the prednisone, it never took things so long to heal. They are not infected just slow to close and the area remains discolored. I think if the donors of your IVIG are getting their flu shots, you are getting protection, too. But it will be interesting to see what is learned from the conference.

So glad you are improving and getting out. If you get as far as Atlanta in November, I\'ll be sure to slip some plants in your luggage for the trip home!

Love, b

If I come, you know I will be bringing the white violets. I have not figured out how to get seeds. I may just mail you plants. Hugs
