good morning sunshine
I woke this morning right around 430a...my work schedule requires me to get
up super early - so on my off days, like today, I wake really early as well. I don't mind it,
I kind of like the consistency and pattern to it.
I like to get to the coffee shop right when it opens... the crew at the Starbucks
are used to seeing me then too. They know my name now - and it's just a good 'good morning'
start to the day. Today they gave me a free coffee lol. So kind of them. :-)
I came home and texted with a friend... and waiting for CBS' Sunday morning to start.
Just had a bowl of cheerios...and Blue is meowing like he always does the start of the day.
A lot to do today. Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning and a zoom call.

When I worked in food service, on both the midnight shift and breakfast shift, the best of our early morning regulars were priceless. For midnight shift, their mellow consistency ended the shift on an optimistic note that made it easier to go to bed when the rest of the world was just beginning to stir. On the breakfast shift, they helped me start the day on an optimistic, even keel.
I hope you are allowing Blue to teach you well. Mellow, consistent starts to the day are good, but there is always something to meow about. Balance in all things.

I try and keep Blue busy in the mornings. He cries for food. I give him food. He cries some more - I pet him, get down on the ground next to him and pet him. Then he cries some more and I try and play with the 'cat whip toy.' He likes that too.
Invariably - as is the case on my days off - he likes me to follow him into the bedroom where he jumps onto the bed and wants me to pet him there. I will pet him and then sit down on my side of the bed, turn on the tv and he jumps into my lap
for a snuggle. He really likes that. He does teach me Arfie. He's like a toddler for sure. Needing lost of attention and tenderness.
