Good morning
I went to bed last night feeling like I had to keep a sense of my insides in check. It was a new coping awareness that had me thinking about how I go to extremes in either direction (up or down.) I used the image of an internal coil, like a rubber band to keep a sense of what felt like a middle path. Holding on to my gut.
This morning I found myself going down a rabbit hole in the aspect of thinking about my flaws. My failures. How I feel flawed and any hint of it seems to send me spiraling.
Yet that same kind of spiraling sort of happens when I have a bad connection with a family member or someone close to me. I think worst case scenario.
I realize I have got to somehow'lead myself' in this life to navigate and negotiate these moments to get myself through with a positive outlook.
I must have compassion for my imperfections and humanity as well for others.
Sending peace and positive vibes for the day ahead!

Hola Mark,
I like the idea of having compassion for ourselves.
You’re hard on yourself, I only say that because I am the same way with myself so I guess it’s easy to recognize in another. A lot of times when you see flaws I actually see a whole lot of fabulousness.
I hope you can sit back & see you the way I do because you’re pretty damn amazing :)
Gentlest of hugs <3
thanks so much lil missy! you are beautiful!
for me, the hardest part of self-love, acceptance and compassion was and remains allowing myself to be less than perfect and to have those pesky emotions i have judged harshly. anger, sadness, etc. i still regress to expecting myself to be the first perfect human with only select emotions, but. . .
a tool i still use to get back to being self-tolerant is imagining myself telling another person they are freak-a-zoids for getting angry or feeling sad. that tool helps me remember to to be gentle with myself and patient with the process.
i'll even volunteer to be your target. what class of freak-a-zoid am i for having the full range of human emotions, markus questionarious. insert pat benatar here. . . hit me with your best shot. . . fire away. . .
Thanks so much Arfie. I love this and appreciate it.
