Good morning
Good morning, with an open mind...I go to the King Gillette Ranch soon for an early morning walk.
Things are good. I went to an evening mass yesterday at St.Max's Catholic Church. It was ok. I found myself feeling different from others but tried to take solace in the togetherness. I did. I then walked out of the church at the end, received by the priests and one made an off color comment. It kind of ruined the event for me but I suppose I shouldn't let it.
I find my strength in idiosyncrasies and eccentricity. Things that make my life, my life. And so I will focus on that.
I'm looking forward to my walk. I'm drinking coffee in bed and watching tv.
Things are good.
peace, Mark

I've been going to the Catholic church with my SIL. She's Catholic, I'm not. I have enjoyed the fellowship and worship. Some things are different from growing up Presbyterian and then going to Evangelical churches for several years. I'm glad you are enjoying your walks.
I have attended Catholic mass before and felt out of place from protestant churches I had always known. I hope that it was a calming experience overall though, Marky.
So glad to read you are doing these morning hikes! I’m sure that is like church itself in a way! Sending hugs.
thanks guys! peace!!
i am under the distinct impression you can feel out of place anywhere. i believe it is one of the things we have in common. i often wonder if the stork dropped me off on the wrong planet.
finding strength in your idiosyncrasies and eccentricities sounds like a good plan. even the normiest of the normies have idiosyncrasies and eccentricities which make them unique from all the other conformers in the church pew. i solidly believe those are what give us our greatest strengths when we trust them. just believing. . . proof irrelevant.
thanks arfie. I really believe you are right on!
