Good morning

Super tired this morning, but just got to accept it and know I'll wake up and start work shortly. Here's to a good day ahead!

i like to meditate on potential dreams on my super tired days. i am a devout believer in "dream solving" and being tired is very conducive to that process. on my tired days, sometimes i even get to remember the dream which spawned the solution.

i avoid doom-saying, network news and other horror shows on my tired days. dreams are extremely vulnerable to power of suggestion and nightmares are even more easily inspired than solution dreams.

I don't have a regular dream life. If I do dream, I don't really know it as I don't remember them.
I have a friend who can decide what he's going to dream about when going to bed.
Boggles me.

the sleep labs have yet to find a person who doesn't dream while they are asleep. remembering your dreams is, typically, more habit and training than talent. i grew up sharing a bed with two sisters, sharing about our dreams while they were still hot on the eyelids, before we got out of bed in the morning, especially on those cold mornings when it was a shock to pull back the blankets. because of that ritual, i already had unusually vivid dream recall before i started keeping a dream journal to therapute my nightmares. by the time i had the confidence that the nightmares were effectively theraputed, my dream recall was epic.

use it or lose it. fast forward the decade or three since i stopped keeping a dream journal, and. . . my dream recall is probably stronger than average, but it ain't what it was a decade or three ago. but i still believe in the dream solving. i believe my dream solutions settle quietly into my subconscious to bubble to the top when needed. it rides with "the quiet voice."
