good morning
I woke at around 430am - couldn't go back to sleep and really didn't
want to either. I showered and dressed and cuddled with Blue and watched
some news and a nature show.
I then drove to Venice Beach to meet my brother for coffee at 7am, my treat! :-)
That felt good, I am really glad he let me pay.
We had coffee at a little coffee shop called "Blue Bottle" - it was some of the best
coffee I have ever had and no hyperbole here ...so delicious and rich that for a little while about 10 minutes
after drinking it, I got kind of queazy - but over all it was an amazing coffee!
Really pricey too - but this was pretty much a 'one off' experience.
I recommend it if you feel like a splurge and an artisan coffee experience!
My brother and I had a good visit and I was inspired by some ideas that I had
over the vacation to be aware of certain things about dynamics at times.
And that made for an overall wonderful accepting time with my big bro.
I understand him, I don't need him to be perfect.
I just had a really nice talk with him and I love him a lot!!
So, now I am home and I just ate lunch and had some juice.
I'll go over to the parents' house later on, they need me to do something.
It's kind of feels like a darkness that I need to write things here like I do - but all in all
it is what it is and it's ok. I feel lucky and am so grateful!!
Have a wonderful Saturday!!!
xo

someplace to vent, sort and set aside that proverbial darkness is number one on my own list of reasons for keeping a journal.
there is no artistic touch for coffee greater than the unconditional presence of a loved one, warts and all.
Thanks Arfie. You are a saint and saintly with your insights and generosity and comradery. I so appreciate you and look forward to what you say on my journals and posts. Have a wonderful weekend. Peace, Mark
I’m grateful
a saint and saintly? ? ? i'll take that as proof that you have just gotten back from a monastery.
still, it's good to know it's appreciated. my mind reading talents suck.
what you give back is food for thought and review of what i have learned in my healing journey. i hold review as a critical part of learning. it is all to easy to forget important lessons.
thanks arfie! the nuns singing in the background are echoing my praise! Amen! :) (hug)
Glad you had a nice coffee visit with the brother. I always look forward to my sibling outings.
I have always been a journaler and writer and it’s been a powerful expression all the long years. Always good to get things out rather than bottle them in. I feel like writing things out has also helped me develop communication skills in life out there too…..like it organizes thoughts and I feel sturdier going out into the big bad world. You’re a joy to have around these realms. Just keep being you.
So glad you had a nice visit with your brother. The coffee sounds good.
Thanks Nikki! You’re a joy too!! Thanks Becky! The coffee was so delicious!
And my bro is great!!
I'm so glad that you had a fabulous visit with your brother sweetie.... I am sorry that journaling feels dark to you today......I think it's such a healthy thing to do...
I agree that you are a joy to have around!!.... Big hug... xo
double thanks Jan! You are a joy as well!
