good morning

I started to write a post last night - but I kept it in my drafts. I wrote an email essay as well - but didn't send it.

I find there are sometimes when I get so out of control with my thoughts and feelings I don't like to publish them

because I have not resolved them in part. I think there are times when things in the world just 'get to us'

and we have to work at them and cope. I feel so grateful to have you guys to write to - and 'talk' with.

I am sending prayers and peace to you guys!

It's gonna be a good day!!

Good for you! I do that as well.

Here's to finding the balance within the moment and with the changing thoughts!

I'm still not sure, but I think that might be one of the things I miss about digital journaling. For sure I miss just about all of the digital editing functions. Pen and paper force uncompromising train of thought protocols. On the artistic levels, it is a harsh compromise, but on the psychotherapy levels, it shows my thought cycles with far greater accuracy with additional clues from handwriting analysis.

Whatever the format, journaling definitely helps me lengthen those distances between think, say and do. Taking the time to think before I speak saves allot of wear and tear on my relationships. Taking the time to think AND say AND think again before I do keeps the constabulary at bay.

my brother went to a school where they had to hand write their essays in one go. they couldn't have erasers or cross outs - it was total discipline demanded. Wild! I could never do that. :( but I am ok with that.

Journalling reall does help - I am glad it keeps the constables on patrol at bay! :)

I have to say that what really inspired the journalling last night in my emails and drafts here - is still bugging the s--t out of me - but I have to tell myself "this too shall pass." - I have to go out for a walk - that will be one things I can do successfully today. See you in an hour. Peace.

Mark, I did the same thing last night. I woke up at 1:30 with anxiety about something I was thinking about and wrote it out like I usually do. And I almost published it here, but I realized that it might be difficult for someone else to read and so I kept it to myself. But I want to privately journal about it. It was big ´state of the world’ stuff.

But I don’t ever discourage someone from expressing what needs to be expressed as long is it’s not meant to hurt or invoke other people. Heavy subject after four years of a president invoking what he invoked. Having a healthy sense of word choice as it relates to a reader or listening is an important value. Anyway, I understand a bit.

Cheers to a good weekend for all of us.
