Good bye to my cousin's wife
We are a very small family. Our parents have passed as well as my only sibling - my brother. That leave just 2 cousins in my generation. My male cousin Ray had a horrific motor cycle accident a few months ago. He broke just about every bone in his body and had several skin grafts. He is in a rehabilitation facility getting a bit better each day but very limited movement. Recently his wife Phyllis was admitted to the ICU unit for lung cancer (previously she had surgery to contain it) and she died last evening. Although cousins aren't always close, mine are because there are so few of us and we definitely grew up together. Their 2 children are in the 40s but are handling so very much. My female and only other cousin will be assisting making the arrangements.Asking for prayers for the family.
Then I think about my ES who doesn't care or want to know anything about our family. I really am praying that God open his eyes and heart. I really don't want to die with us being estranged. Please God help us.

My heart hurts so much for you today in another loss/tragedy. Your heartaches are many. Yes, I think cousins are a very special special blessing and especially if they love the Lord... like a brother or sister. I will pray for you these next days especially. Did you see my recommendation to read the \"God is in our most desperate situation?\" on Nancy De Moss radio program, Revive our Hearts, day Oct. 9, speaker Ney Barly, I think. Its a new way to think and a new hope of prayer with our estranged children. Thats ReviveourHearts.com, programs, oct. 9. let us keep growing and learning and He promises to help us.
Whyonlychild, I also only have 2 cousins and 1 brother. Brother is distant due to his wife. 1 cousin is 4 years older than my #1ES and they have joined forces against me along with brother\'s wife...yet it grieves me lately more than hurts the splitting apart of our small family and what time we are all losing before those who are left find themselves all alone in this world.
Hugs from a heart that hurts for your loss...I do absolutely understand where you are and praying with you God please help us!!
My heartfelt sympathy on your loss. I so understand we are a small family too and I so treasure those we have left, prayers to you and yours. I so hope Our ECs do see the light, life is short, much to short for shunning. May the angels above watch over you. God Please Help us All!
Thinking of you. I have a small family too. First it was both my parents, Xhub, ED (9 years now), and son. Over the years Xhub left, then daughter left, then dad passed, then mum had a stroke and had to go to a home with dementia. It is son and me left. Cousins are many but live mile away and not as close as respective husbands and wives weaken the links too. So, I know what a shrinking family feels like. I am so sorry for the tragedies and of the loss recently. Thinking of you. Keep praying for God to keep giving you strength. I know you have the strength because you are still strong through all of what has happened and not only that you are also helping others be strong.
It does make you appreciate the person/s left with you. I must not forget that I have God with me too and have become closer to him than ever before through all the grief and loss. Keep praying as prayer and faith are our refuge when all else seems to be distant.
Dear Why::: I\'m sorry to hear about the death in your family, it really does leave a void when you\'re close.
Hubby has so many cousins, there\'s a whole town of them. It\'s amazing to see how they rally around each other and help. They\'re very clanish and had to travel here to see why, and did learn a lot. I have only 1, but she\'s super great!
Don\'t give up on your son. As long as you send loving thoughts and he knows you haven\'t closed all the doors to him, he\'ll come back one day.
