Good, but still bad
So the OBGYN I saw awhile ago didn't want to treat me and give me surgery. Fuck you too buddy. Wanted to refer me to a Reproductive Endocrinologist. I got a phone call today from the RE's office, booking me for an appointment. They're next available appointment isn't till AUGUST EFFING 22ND! OMG. That's not for surgery or anything, just to go see the doctor. And who knows if he will want to even treat me. I'm glad that I have an appointment, except its so far away. I was really hoping that I could get surgery done in August when I have a break in school. Currently that's looking like its going to be a negative. I can't just drop school to get a surgery. I have a life dammit. I'll be taking 5 classes next semester, and they're incredibly important. But then again, so is my health. At the moment I'm kind of at a loss.
Positive= Finally have an appointment for the RE
Negative= It's not till the end of August, and I'm not even sure if he'll treat me. I can only hope.

I feel your pain. I\'m seeing a doc from the #1 OBGYN hospital in the nation. There are only 2 docs there that treat endo, but I don\'t really know much more than that. When I made the appointment, it was for 3 months later. I now only have 1 month to wait - yippee!!!
I called the doc\'s office every day, 2X a day to see if there were cancellations, and finally gave up.
At least with her, I know she treats endo, and she\'s a great surgeon. You may want to call and ask the receptionist if you can chat with the doc for a minute. Tell them you are an unusual case and that you don\'t want to wait that long for bad news.
You just want to know: does he treat endo? How many endo surgeries has he done? etc., etc.
Hope this works out for you...
hey. i thank you for your advice. i checked up a lot on the RE that i will be eventually seeing. he seems to be incredibly well qualified. (duke, john hopkins, etc) i\'m incredibly happy about that. all i can really do now is just call up frequently to see if they\'ve had any cancelations. so far no luck, but maybe soon.
