going through it!

Times like this I wish funny things would happen around me so, I can get out of the rut. Any one have a good joke?
Anyway, my friends I spent a couple of days feeling sorrow, fearful and self loathing for my weakness and my behavior. Steve, good point to stay in the present and not to live in the moment that has not come yet. So, as I was going to bed last night God said, "Ok you may have made some bad choices tonight with your food, but most of the day you did well. Give yourself credit for what you did do and stop hammering yourself for what you did not do." What an order from God! I slept on it.
Even though I woke up regreting having to go through another day. I also realized a lighter heart. Ya I'm still nervous. That's ok, but I am trying to accept the fact that I may not be perfect when she comes and that's ok. That's what I can do in that moment. What matters is she is not my God. If God knows I am doing my best that's enough for me. His opinion of me is what really matters. I will not make an idol of my daughter. She is human too and He is God.
How often I have put people on a pedistal not realizing that what they thought of me was more imortant than what God thought of me. In doing so it made them a little god.
God specifically said, "You should have no other gods than me." I realize now that if I'm ok with God that is great. The opinons of others can be and maybe imperfect , as I am. So, to judge my self worth according to their opinion is selling myself short of the truth!
So, today I choose to worship my God in spirit and in truth! And say..."I'm ok in this moment and if I'm not in the next moment that's ok. It's all about going through it with Him!
That's what I need your prayers for, courage! All your encouragement has been such a strength for me! You all are the best!
You all have a blessed day!
Hugs,
Jessy
PS. One more thought... I write it down so, I can remind myself later. My daughter does not define me. Who I am in Christ is what defines me. How I compare myself to others is incorrect. How I compare myself to Christ is the goal.
