Glad things are back
The day is starting. I don’t have work today. I’m resting in bed with coffee and Blue. I found myself at the outset in the zone of the darkness outside and vaguery within, not knowing the day ahead. A big question mark. I wanted to pray. I imagined the ideal, unachieved place for me. So then to create the practical I pieced together a couple of things I need to get done..And slowly I am getting back to the relationships of family and friends in life and I am finding purpose and drive again.

It's strange how sometimes I feel compelled to write and yet I start sneezing a whole
heck of a lot as though it's something I do not want to do.
Have a great day you guys!
I want to confess something. Before I came to the healthier place of being awake to and self responsible for my condition, I rejected and didn’t really understand people’s Suggestions to do therapy in a kind of community group setting.. Once I started to own my condition I started to see a commitment to health management and also after this breakdown of DS, I realized how much I rely on this place. We help each other survive along the path of life and that to me is community. Folks who help each other survive daily. . I am really grateful and appreciate you guys.
Hola Mark :)
I’m grateful & appreciate you too, I had the same kinda realization too the last couple days
Big hugs <3
((((Hug))))
personally, i have gotten more out of group therapy than individual therapy. for me, an hour long conversation is extremely hard. even 30 minutes is a bit out of my comfort zone. the group setting allows me reflection time without abandoning the topic. it is a relief that i do not have to carry the conversation on my own. in addition, i believe the more diverse input leads me to doors i would not have found on my own.
incidents such as groups closing, shrinks retiring and technical difficulties for the online resources are the very reason i maintain a therapy network rather than a single source. it has happened a few too many times that i found myself in crisis with no current support. with a network, i can keep trying until i find somebody who is home.
the organic reason for sneezing is to get foreign materials out of our nose.
i wonder if you are "getting it out of your system."
Thanks Arfie.. good reminder, life is in flux and we have prepare on all levels.
Community is muy important- and staying connected to not just your own individual tools, but support networks.
I’ve relief heavily on online support network but am personally wanting to fulfill in-person networks in lieu of the “virtual” realm just due to deception and different ways technology gets used and abused. It’s really hard to connect to but I have in the past and am hopeful for the future.
In the interim, I’m glad support networks like this exist for those in between days that can sometimes hit so, so hard.
Thanks Nikki!
