glad i looked up.
temporarily out of service due to broken brain syndrome........
more commonly referred to as the mean ol rotten barometric pressure headache.
head feels like it is being squeezed in a vice like skull cap. messing with sinuses, playing the misery card.......sneezing helps. spent last three hours dozing against a large ice pack.
it is anti-exciting ..........not nearly as much fun as other carnival attractions.
hate nausea. nausea makes for miserable company.
so does a whining headachy pal..........if i dumped out my red leather purse onto life's stage all we would find are complaints. which seems pretty cranky, draggy and not very joyous. felt God nudging me to stop, to find the glory in this day.
so i turned my chair - raised the blind....and took a long scenic drink.
the tall Georgia pines are regal, have soft golden leaves.........still waiting their turn to play with the wind.
on the right side of the small hill, yellowy green mounds of moss surround the great great grandfather tree. ........ivy loves to play pirate king.......to cover and capture treasures ......from the the trunks of the pines.........to the old red rocker, & the small child's racing sled leaning on a younger pine tree.....don't remember exactly when i gifted the small sled and the red rocker to that corner of the yard.
they seemed to need to spend their final years in concert with living growing things.
pine needles & pine cones are scattered on the ground. the large granite boulder solemnly bids me good day........a great place to perch.........it sits in front of a cluster of trees..............trees are here, there and everywhere.
the leaves are scattered in beautiful patterns...........i look up..........use my hand to shade me from the golden amber sun........high in the sky and say thank you to our Creator.
hawks are soaring...........four hawks gracefully soaring upon the silky air.............wings spread........gliding on the morning breeze............to think what i woulda coulda missed if i hadn't looked UP...........God is good to gift us with eyes to see.
time to go to the cool quiet room and be at peace. praying for you.

Beautiful....
I often look up from my laptop (which occupies me much of my day, since i work on it as well) and simply watch the squirrels scamper in a gray blur in the yard, the shift of light and shade, the scatter of bright leaves or petals, the flit of a bird... the sudden appearance of the Cooper\'s hawk sitting regally atop the fence, unconcerned by we who cannot soar as high.... Ahhh... A long drink of cool water for dusty soul.
Gentle rest and sleep sound, sweet sparrow, and that headache will ease... I will purr it away.....
Praying your headache subsides - it was one thing I never have and am so sorry for those who suffer with headaches. You were brave to listen to the still small voice and look up to the place of beauty. My only real view for about 2 years were my maple and pine trees and a little sky and of course the 4 walls of my room. They are the most beautiful sight in the world to me still. Thank you for your gift of seeing and sharing it with us.
Ruthie hope you feel a bit better this evening. I\'ve got one of those skull cap headaches too. They are the pits!!!! I was just looking outside, hoping to see my cardinals. Haven\'t seen them in awhile. The top of the bird feeder is half off. Could be from the heavy winds we\'ve had all day. Or it could be raccoons ! They are smart creatures, but a nuisance.
Gonna be cold here by morning 49* brrrrrrr. That\'s cold for us guys down here over the fence.
Praying for you sweetie. I wrote a new journal today. It\'s my 42nd anniversary !!! Hubby\'s b-day is Sunday.
May God bless you & watch over you. Amen. Xoxoxo
What a glorious look up, so glad you took a moment to absorb it all in!
Yep! We should always look up! I\'m so glad you did. You got to see the beautiful golden \"amber sun\".....an ever constant reminder that God sends His light to us daily. The big ball in the sky! How amazing a Creator He is!!!
I do hope that headache and nausea take a hike, Ruthie!!!!
Look up tonight! Maybe the moon will carry a message to you, as well!!
Oh you sweet little Georgian gal you, how we all just love you so.And man are you a beautiful writer. So when I went out today for a short while to save my sanity, I found myself focusing more than usual on the beauty of my environment. The palm trees were glistening in the hot tropical sun and the brilliant red flame trees seem to catch my attention just that little bit more. The franjipani trees are bursting into flower with such an array of colours and the mango trees are weighing down, ,laden with their tasty fruit. I struggled through the shopping centre, with my husband close by, feeling weak, dizzy, shaky, holding on to my little walker.I was happy and grateful to be out though and pleased with myself. My gratitude for small things , the appreciation of my environment and the acceptance of this illness is slowly increasing.Thankyou beautiful Ruthie. I pray that there will be brighter days coming to you soon.I want your pain and suffering to leave., Love Di
