getting on

We came back yesterday afternoon from scattering your ashes. We were in a pretty meadow with the mountains all around us. We thought it would be sad but strangely it was not. You weren't there except inside of us. We knew you would approve and it was satisfying to carry out your final wishes. I am glad we waited 5 months because it would have been very difficult to do it before now. Now i feel as if i must get on with this business of living. One of the posts this weekend was about moving. I am so ambivalent about selling our home and moving to a condo. I guess it is not time for that yet. Today Logan is graduating from kindergarten. we would have had a good laugh about graduation ceremonies for 5 year olds. I will go for both of us because i do carry you in my heart! Patti

Your entry brought back thoughts of when we scattered my husband\'s ashes. He died in June and we scattered them on his birthday in October. They lie under a mountain laurel plant on the Shawangunk Mountains where he watched the sun rise every morning from work. It actually gives me a sense of peace now. Eight years ago I was devastated, but today I live with his spirit with me always. Sharon
