Getting Weened off medication

I'v been taking carbamazepine for about 5 months now.  My dose is 2 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon and 2 in the evening.  I'm now and have been pain free for like 2 or 3 months now.  So my doctor is going to start weening me off medication.  Today my dose is and will be for the next 7 days 1 pill in the morning, 2 in the afternoon and 2 in the evening.  I'm still pain free.  I'm hoping I'll be able to stop taking medication for a while.  So I got through first day of taking one less pill.
