making sense of my day, like a pep talk.

I am so understanding that everyone's trying to make sense of life each day....

I started writing this yesterday

and this morning I woke up with the hope I could finish it.

I am reminded of the last talk I saw Joel Osteen give, where he really

gave a good peptalk to start the day with. I'll take the memory of that

to start my day.

I was feeling really lousy - totally unwound yesterday, I think I was listening too much to my

feelings and appetite - maybe you could say I might have been passively trying to find an order and schedule from

that amorphous stuff.

The responsibility to create the structure for my own day here while on vacation is something

that takes some time and effort...I think I have been trying to listen to life to tell me what I would do...

when in fact the planning is something I need to pay attention to and manifest...If I just

go through the motions eventually I get with a program..gain momentum..and feel better!

So that's what I am talking about here - to remember and pay attention to what you know is part

of starting your day. Wake, rise, shower, dress, feed the cat, go for coffee, write texts, emails, and maybe

even pray. Practice gratitude that your loved ones are safe.

I have found that if I don't CREATE some order I start

getting out into the twigs of my feelings, trying to effectively harness my energies and appetite....

Yesterday I was feeling low and indecisive earlier.. probably in part because I drank some alcohol recently

which really can disrupt my system with sluggishnes...but in the process of feeling those low feelings... it's like.... I get caught up between things - looking for that creative solution...to deal with life and find my answers...or wisdom to my experience...

And so today I just remembered that speech by Joel Osteen...I loved it - the steadying father and leader for us all it seemed and it can help me steady myself in light of  the fact that one moment I can be happy and the next it's like

the carpet comes out from under and sadness sets in... remembering yourself and who you are and your gratitude

and structure for life can get you back in motion! Productive and positive!

So...yesterday I was feeling low and unwound so I decided to

take a drive to the ice cream shop and get some ice cream and a big cookie.

I sat in the sunshine and just enjoyed in it - the glory of the warm sun and good

treat!

As I sat there, I thought about the nature of organizing

a day in an attempt to inspire myself - clean ups - making beds - breakfast - lunch - dinner

Looking back at this text now I am reminded to just remember who I am and the nature

of maybe first making a plan - and then the motivation comes later.... god I wonder what is right sometimes...

My aim has been employ that engine within me with a tempered sense of drive....

But perhaps to just better to

to remember, I am not alone... and that actions sometimes preceed motivation

and those feelings which might change one moment

to another might just be asking us to remember who we are, and find our order again.

These were just thoughts I was trying to make sense of. I hope there's something good in here.

Right now, things are good. Definitely have the day ahead!
