Getting my needs met

I'm realizing the emotional need I have for relationships and a significant other. It keeps "knocking at my door" and I find myself more capable at hearing that kind of knock and receiving it and acting on it.

My last therapist talked about accepting the emotional status quo vs always taking its temperature was something i did not follow her on. It's my nature.

Though it is my attribute and also part of my need I'm learning to live with it at last. At least seeing it real.

I'm waking to my personal needs too as I can't just lay around when I have nothing planned and just stare into space. I know I want and need to do things and I'm starting to listen to that. Getting my work done e while taking care of my own desires and needs simultaneously is a win win.

i have wondered a time or fifty if you would know a "relationship" if it bit your hindquarters. whenever you use that word, i feel like you are speaking of romanticized concepts far more than living, breathing humans with whom you can have actual relations. within that wandering wonder is the opinion that this is a very common problem here in the 21st century. no wonder the global divorce rate is horrific and still escalating. we aren't befriending/marrying people. we are lost in the search for media concepts.

just opining. . .

for what it's worth
i envy quite a few of the relationships you have shared here. whether or not you ever find your own fairy tale princess, you are a man of many solid relationships.
