getting lost in the day...with intention
this morning was a good one. I went for that hike and then I did errands.
Got the car washed, shopped for odds and ends and then bought cat owner
'paraphernalia.' :)
I'm hanging out today..because of the heat...but I'm consciously just getting
lost in the day...not letting big ideas or lack of activity eclipse my sense of
intention. That's something different for me and I intend to keep at it.
I'm watching the "All Creatures Great and Small" marathon on PBS.
It's so funny how we're creatures who take care of our lives and then we find
enjoyment in watching shows where people take care of their lives :).
Maybe it's somehow reassuring to see folks confronted with similar issues..
like, at least we're not alone. Perhaps it's also for us to see 'how things are handled?'
Anyways I won't go too deep into that.
All I know is I'm just dealing with some issues of being solitary today... trying to keep my focus on the boundary
I have and to not get overwhelmed by big questions or forces within. I was having a mini crisis earlier...
My friends in the religious order and I were having some trouble communicating.
They so have played a big, helpful and consolling role in my life - and with that
break or breech of connection I was left wondering "Who am I without my relationship with God?"
As though my most significant judgement came from those in the community...and so carried the
the kernel of essence...
It left me panicked and questioning - but I have found my footing again.
I'll get on with my choice of structure for today which, as it stands, is my ownership to find
that footing.
I hope you guys are having a good day!! Sending peace and good vibes.

That is so nice you have those connections in the religious community and that helps you. I stay connected to some academic religious community former coworkers through social media, and their thoughts are inspiring to read. Keeping on a good path and more importantly, being accepting of others and embracing all of humanity and not just those in their singular mindset. At least for my sense of appreciation and connectedness to humanity.
It’s good to have simplicity in the day. The basic appreciation of this life we have.
And it’s interesting to embrace the stories that are out there. I live studying storytelling and how it structures certain cultures. There is a movie I want to go see with Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba where Tilda is a scholar of story and mythology.
Three Thousand Years of Longing
May not be for everyone as it’s a “fantasy” film but it sounds intriguing and may be inspiring for my writing projects.
Enjoy the day! It sounds like a perfect plan to rest and relax and enjoy some stories.
One funny story: my former mother-in-law (wonderful woman) had a lot of funny sweet things and she always liked to drink Pinot Grigio because that’s what they drink in soap operas. Teehee
Thanks Nikki
