getting a little weird
I think I probably spend too much time alone. I was just at my parents' house with my brother
and as the day went along, my Dad and I were watching tv while my stepmother cut my brother's
hair outside on the patio. Two neighbors came by. I didn't know them before and I didn't know they
were neighbors. They were so bright eyed and bushy tailed, open and talkative it kind of put me in a weird way.
I didn't know how to relate. I think I spend too much time alone - and online (which seems to warp my perspective as well I've been noticing.)
I wish I could have rejoiced in socializing like these ladies did. But I just got kind of weird, monosyllabic and quiet.
Ok well, I'll take note and file that. Maybe I should tell my Dad.

Big squishy hug sweetie.....xo
I often feel like I can’t relate to people in public settings, but then I end up finding people I CAN relate to the next week.
I would say don’t beat yourself up for feeling ‘awkward’ here and there (at least that’s how I describe that feeling) bc you have worth. It’s just that dealing with mental illness tricks us into thinking we aren’t as good, or something, and that’s just not true.
