getting a little lost today

I am feeling a little lost but I can't 'buy into' the feelings.

I need to take care of myself - and just 'see the feelings'

as something that's starting to happen within me but put

a stop to sinking into the trap of feeling like it's the truth.
I've had a good day over all - socially I feel like

I don't have 'a place' at times - but then I talk to and am in touch

with so few people - that the minutest interactions with strangers hold a lot of weight for me.

Maybe, I should remember my good friends here on DS.org and my family

and friends from high school.

And maybe if I feel like I wish I had a nicer place to be - more soothing more comforting

more reinforcing- maybe I should try and dream that up? and achieve it!?

hehe

Things definitely could be worse - sending all good prayers, thoughts, warm embraces and blessings.

peace,

Mark

As a child, I was told to get lost so often that I developed a taste for being lost. I don't mean disoriented lost. I mean days without a clue lost. I make some of my greatest discoveries when I am lost and get kinda bored without the adventure.

But there I go getting literal again. . . I'm pretty sure you were speaking metaphorically.

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned to you already that I think of feelings as a monitoring system which guides but doesn't really have the power to regulate. When I think of them that way, I can validate all of my feelings without letting them run the show.

I might look for perfection at times...unwittingly in a way... but like in terms of thinking there's a place
out there somewhere or something that I can create which will make things better...
so often I find the answer is 'taking care of life and the day' and looking forward to things
that help me do that - as in things on the schedule that are somethings to look forward to.
I know I have to design my own life and not just 'work a job' but I'm seeing there can be
elements of both things - of toughening up - and getting on with professionally running my life
as well as including if not 'all things' but somethings that give me joy, peace or pleasure!

I think you've got all three covered :)
So enjoy that day dreaming~~

I look for perfection continually. I am convinced that perfection comes only for moments and I doesn't wanna miss any of those perfect moments. They are rare, precious and worth watching out for. When you least expect them, expect them.

And on my less altruistic days I wonder if imperfections are Life's only enduring perfection. It be the imperfections which make us grow.

And here I am, lost in metaphor like a meta-bull in a monastery. . .
