gentle reassurances

it seems while at home - the spirit of my home seems dim,

i think of talking to my mom, who is now passed many decades now,

and she would awaken hope in me. I think of my Dad who recently said

that when hope returns the day is glorious and joyful.

I think of giving myself hope by adjusting my sights - maybe thinking

about St. Nina's - and yet then as I move along - little snipes from someone

on Facebook has me noseplanting down. I won't let him win. He's an alcoholic and a drug addict

and has done some things that I really don't respect...so why would I be suprised if

I reached out online and he were not someone else? I suppose wishful thinking on my part

that there was love and lingering sentiments though the friendship hasn't been active for a long time.

It was a major part of our youth. Or at least mine.

So I'm seeking my own brand of gentle reassurances by writing this out and now moving on

to my shower for the morning.

The swipes and jabs take some fierce abilities to not be affected by, especially when we put some of our shared self and sentiment into corresponding.

I am dealing with something similar, but it’s with my boss and his arrogance after I called him out on why he should learn an important excel function for the purposes of our systems we use. He didn’t like that I punctured his ego, but the arrogance is being played out like swipes of retaliation. I’m a lover and team player and not a fighter. It’s not the right environment for me.

Sorry, I have vented in your journal but wanted to express understanding of overcoming ill treatment in a variety of human interactions, especially when other design them specifically, maybe with little thought but still intended with aim at their target.

Hugs.
