gentle prayer

my mind wasn't working so well today, but I had a good day at work this morning...got the work done

well, which is a good thing. then came home and got ready for and then had a meeting with a couple

of friends on zoom...it went well...again my mind was kind of absent but I contributed a little bit

and had a nice time (anxiousness had me wanting for it to be over which is pretty typical. Importantly

though my two friends got a long and developed a new friendship which is great!)

then i took myself out for a coffee at Starbucks and stopped by the gas station.. and then came home.

i titled this journal 'gentle prayer' because that is what I have to remind myself to do, in a kind of parenting

way for myself since I can have aspiration at times but then I may, because of my condition, feel like I don't measure up

or feel at a loss and so I need a little reality check to encourage myself but also ground myself in a way that keeps me healthy and moving onward.

I saw this great episode of Hardtalk on BBCTV. It was with a British Environmentalist - a kind of older version of

Greta Thunberg - and he also was on the aspergers spectrum. I loved how he said when he was feeling sleepy

and maybe a little listless - he reminded himself to get up 'and do it for the environment.'

Cool dude.

Anyways, I hope you guys are having a good day out there. Sending virtual coffee toasts..

peace.

what's coming to mind is that I shouldn't be dissuaded from pursuing my goal(s) by the thoughts of my own lacking and equally when working for my own cause and passion. In the same breath I should also be schooled and both buffeted and supported by the idea
that I will contribute to whatever cause I have by the means that I am able. And that matters.
Keep at it, I need to tell myself.
Keep on keeping on and keep confident! It can be done!

I believe I do allot of my bestest works when my brain isn't working so well. My hands seem to work better when my over-developed brain isn't getting in the way. I over-think myself to paralysis more easily than I trust God to guide my hands.

"In time you will move mountains
"And it will come through your hands." ~John Hiatt (Through Your Hands)
