Genders =)

So, my last entry multiple people said they hoped I would still update. I wasn't going to in hopes of preventing hurting anyone still going through a hard time, but I thought I would share our little gender reveal.  This is pregnancy related so please feel free to skip. So, DH and I didn't want to do some extravagant gender reveal due to the cost of having people over and food and blah blah. So, DH and I decided we would still have them write it down on an envelope and we would go out to dinner and open the envelope at dinner.

We chose a restaraunt that is special to us, we had our rehearsal dinner there before our wedding and they have amazing food. So, we get there and DH tells the hostess we have reservations. (Meanwhile, it's a tuesday and it's pouring outside. Pretty sure reservations are not necessary). The hostess goes, "oh my god we are so excited!" I go, "oh, really?! Why?" She says nothing, but DH has a look. So I know something is going on but I don't know what. We have a fabulous dinner and we are the ONLY ones in the restaurant eating. It was so romantic. So, we pick out desserts and as we're waiting for them to bring them out I tell DH ok, grab that envelope let's go! (A side note I'm convinced it's two boys because I've had zero morning sickness or discomfort of any kind and their heart rates are always the same in the 140's.) I know I know wives tales but still. So, DH is like well let's wait for dessert to come. So suddenly they bring out two cannoli's (not what I chose for dessert but actually one of my favorites) And here, they put icing in the cannoli to determine what the genders are! They video taped us. Meanwhile at the time, I'm SOOOOO confused about how we are supposed to find out with these cannolis. I'm picturing the white ricotta in the middle and just can't wrap my head around this turn of events! lol The waitress goes, just cut into it hunny! So we both cut in at the same time and pink and blue icing......it's a BOY and a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We were SO shocked!!! I can't believe we are so lucky to be in this position of having twins, but now to be able to experience one of each as well?! I am counting my blessings every single day. I thank god that I have made it to almost 18 weeks with no issues and I pray this streak of luck continues until these babies are born safe and healthy. I think of you ladies constantly. I know the holidays are one of the hardest times of year for infertility. I pray that your time is coming. Hang in there. xoxo
