GARDENING AND LOVING IT!
In my garden there is a large place for sentiment. My garden of flowers is also my garden of thoughts and dreams. The thoughts grow as freely as the flowers, and the dreams are as beautiful. ~Abram L. UrbanWELL, MY FRIENDS, ANOTHER GLORIOUS DAY IS UPON US. THE SUN IS OUT AND THE TEMPERATURE WILL BE LOVELY. A GARDENERS DREAM!! YESTERDAY WAS FABULOUS AS WELL. I WORK LIKE A TROJAN WITH SOME HELP FROM HUBBY. I AM REDOING MY FRONT GARDEN. I AM TAKING TWO GARDENS AND MAKING THEM ONE BIGGER GARDEN. I HAVE USED 75 BAGS OF SOIL TO BUILD IT UP!! SO RIGHT NOW, I AM AT THE POINT WHERE IT IS ALL DONE AND THE PLANTS ARE IN. NOW IT IS JUST THE FINISHING WORK LIKE THE TOP FABRIC AND THE BLACK MULCH. THIS WILL BE DONE TODAY. IT LOOKS REALLY NICE. I AM PLEASED. I WILL TAKE A PIC LATER AND POST IT. I MAY DO A BEFORE AND AFTER.
I HAVE OTHER PLANTING PLANS FOR THE DAY AS WELL. THE WONDERFUL LIFE OF A GARDENER...THERE IS A NVERENDING LIST OF THINGS TO DO!!
WELL, I NEED TO GET A MOVE ON AND GET MYSELF OFF TO WORK. I AM A LITTLE SLOW MOVING THIS MORNING AS CERTAIN PARTS OF ME ARE PROTESTING WHEN I MOVE. OH, WELL, THEY WILL GET USE TO IT ONCE I START.
HAVE A GOOD ONE. DEBBIE

Sounds good, Debbie. I am just at the beginning. Figured where my front yard needs drainage to prevent flooding in my basement. Jut need to put in some drain pipe and this week I am getting some loam delivered (4 yds!). I am building up the front yard which is going to be a small garden. I have very little land and the front is where I can put in a nice flower, herb and flowering bush area. I will be able to see it from the road, my driveway and my living room windows. I am putting in some perennial flowers and a few herbs. I think I am going to plant mint in another area since it is so agressive. I think some sage and a few less agressive herbs in a few areas mixed with the flowers. I think I am putting some holly bushes across the front wall, so that I will have some evergreen bushes during the winter months. I may even put in a small tree, too. But I am not sure. It is fun to plan what I want to put in. I am not putting in veggies in the front, but will have some patio tomatoes on my deck and maybe some green beans in the backyard or side yard. I lmay try to plant some pole beans in planters and put trellises in the planters for them to grow on. It might work.
I expect I won\'t be moving too fast after all that loam is delivered....LOL But also lots of satisfaction.

Ok had to read fast, your color made me dizzy, or is it dizzyer. I am glad I am not the only one with dirty knees and nails, well knees anyway, we wear gloves, right. Worked out there all day today. I did some spliting. Split Jacops Ladder, Indian Chief, some money tree and a bunch of ferns, ferns do not like to be moved, but oh well they are a dime a dozen. I really got tired and hot. I was squirting myself with the hose and Hubby thought I was getting bite by bee\'s. Speaking of Hubby I asked him to bring down a Fiddle Leaf Fig I had in my dressing room because they are poisonous to cats and I caught Johnny trying to bite it, thought I would put it on the porch for summer. It is about 6\' tall and maybe 3\' across. WELL, when he got to the bottom of the stairs he thought he was on the last one and took a dive. Split the huge pot, hurt his knee but the tree survived. He was carefully helping me transplant it and I just jerked it out of the pot and put it in the other one. He walked away. I don\'t mess around. Your new garden sounds beautiful. I love new dirt. What kind of flowers are you putting in it? Make sure we get pics. Are you an annual or perinial kind of girl. NJ xo
Love your energy Debbie!! xo
It sounds so wonderful, wish we had the sun and I had the energy to get out and do all the work you do every year in your garden. I guess all things considered I am ahead of where I was at this time last year but feel like I should be getting more done but just cannot make myself work out there when I\'m cold and it feels misty damp and threatens rain.
Of course the grasses and weeds are going nuts with these cool damp days and all the sun we have now, to bad the plants and flowers I want do not share their enthusam for growth in this weather. Looking forward to seeing your new pix
