Future
During a particularly rough time I asked my husband if he would get his vasectomy reversed. He said yes. I am 43 years old...It would be a longshot, but not impossible. It gave me hope and got me through a terrible moment...Now, thinking more clearly, the reality of the situation sets in. It would be extremely difficult. A pregnancy at my age would be dangerous, and odds are my baby would not be healthy. It was just a thought...if somehow I did manage to have a healthy child...it wouldn't be Cassi...and that wouldn't be fair to the child. I would be a nervous wreck, probably not even letting my child attend school...it's not a sensible thing to even consider. But I love my husband even more now, that I know if I made that decision he would be willing to go down that road with me.

What a good man you have. He just wants his love happy. Treasure him. Hugs, Lauri
It was a moment you navigated together... What a blessing you have in your husband and I have no doubt feels he has in you.
Taking it one day at a time and those days are filled with so many of these kinds of moments that when shared with those you love make them bearable.
Heartfelt (((hugs))) dear Gina and always for your Cassi.

You have a wonderful husband.....
Women have healthy babies into their 40s and even 50s. And boy do I understand what you\'re feeling. If there was one thing I could do, it would be to get pregnant. BUT....no, it wouldn\'t be April. How fair is it to bring a child into the world to fill the void left by another? It\'s very hard to reverse a vasectomy successfully and you would most likely need AI at least to get pregnant. Expensive, stressful, and carrying a baby while you are in deep mourning is not good for either of you. But see how wonderful your husband is, what a blessing to have such love. He wants so much to help you and he\'s mourning himself! I understand wanting a child, I want one desperately, but know this: you and I have a child, our children are not with us but they still exist.
What a blessing your husband is!
i DON,T THINK 43 IS THAT OLD TO HAVE A BABY. lOOK AT HALLIE BERRY 44 LOTS OF WOMEN HAVE KIDS LATER IN LIFE. BUT IT IS ALOT OF WORKIF YOU CAN STAY HOME AND REST I THINK YOU WOULD HAVVE A NICE HEALTHY BABY. LOVE MARY ANN
Gina, I wish I had been blessed with more than one child. I was way too old when Ed died to have a child but I do wish I had a living child. I miss being a mom. Its a deep void for me now. Another child would not replace Ed or Cassi its true...but maybe you are like me and miss just being a mom.
I agree - your husband is a good guy and clearly loves you deeply.
Tight hugs of understanding, Linda
