FUNKY DAY!
January 16. 2010: Ick! That is how I feel! The weather here is much warmer...we went through a week of BRUTAL cold. But, the sky is so grey! I am tired of winter and the added depression that seems to go with it. I am in the middle of a four day weekend. I thought I would do so many things. Happening? Not so much. I did clean the mirrors in my bedroom. Okay....not that kind. They were really yucky! And, the glass on the pictures....ewww. And, I am proofing my book. I thought I was almost ready for the publisher....nope! I think I will just re-type the WHOLE thing! It will be easier than going back to correct certain pages! So depressed! Craig and I seem to do NOTHING together. We barely speak. He spent the entire day in the garage and me in the house. Finally, about nine this evening, he came in. Still, not much speaking. Out of the blue he tells me we should meet for dinner on Tuesday, his birthday, at Lambert's Restaurant. I am really good with that. It is the "Home of the Throwed Rolls" and a fun place to eat. Plus, if it is your birthday, you get your meal for half price. Anyway, I think he doesn't care anything about me and then he invites me to dinner. I guess he is just going through his own journey. We do have a wedding, to go to, next Saturday. I used to babysit the bride when she was just two. That should be fun. Her mom and I are pretty good friends. And, her Aunt, from St. Louis, is someone I look forward to seeing. Now, I am going to tell you a really horrible story! I have three cats. They are outdoor cats. I live in the country so they are not just pets but we NEED them. I was cleaning my back door window and one of the cats caught a field mouse. Okay...I am very good with that! Catch them before they come into my home! However, the cat played with it for ten to fifteen minutes. It was horrible. She just batted it around, then let it run away, only to catch it again. Poor mouse! I am surprised it didn't die of a heart attack. I have never seen such a thing!
