funkier stuff
good stuff in reality...
i've been moving forward with my day and try to not make perfect the enemy of the good
i've done my chores and showered and dressed and I've been sitting here on the couch -
watching PBS but also not so satisfied with doing just that - I didn't know what to -
I'm in part thinking about my future - and in light of that - what I want to do - again
at this point I usually hit a wall...I don't know what I want... but then I thought not to let
the perfect be the enemy of the good or get in the way of my appreciation for my life and things and my goals.
I am pretty sure I know where I want to work - just in whatever aspect of it -
and I think instead of me now taking that step and freezing in the headlights
- I need to appreciate that we're all in that kind of status
in life where we might have a professional goal and have to make it a reality on our own....
crazy as that sounds...simple no?
So I appreciate this for my futurizing my future.... I respect it.
peace!

This would be another one which **used to** sound crazy to me. That was also during those years I am ever so grateful Interpol was not yet fully computerized. Flight is ever so much easier than Freeze for my hyper metabolism. My easy-freeze blood sister and I believe it is the same response from different systems. Her slower metabolism can't run as fast as mine for very long at a stretch. I can be on another continent before my flight reflex lets me realize I am running from my own perceptions of "perfection."
Doing nothing remains hard for me, but I have an easier time seeing things through when I let the dream motivate while I let reality dictate.
Oh, for the love of balance. . .
Respect it.
That’s a good perspective. Professional pursuits can sometimes be tied to our sense of purpose.... and despite all the politics to reach for those goals, it can be a meaningful journey. But on the contrary, no matter what profession we find ourselves in there are lessons and relationships and other meaningful steps that make that all encompassing life journey worth every minute.
Good way to put it!
thank you SO much Arfie and Nikki! Really great perspective and helpful today especially since I had been struggling with it just now ((HUG))). xoxox
thanks Mid!! I posted before I saw your response!
