Frustrating body of mine

I need my attitude adjusted.  I'll have to ask Becca to poop me some pick-me up pills.  Dr. Peltier says I am too medically unstable to increase my IVIG dose.  She is worried about my kidneys.  She is going to increase my Prograf, but I am to limit or use extreme caution with my exposure to others especially children and my DD groups.
She says no more pushing through things.  If I am tired, I am to stop.  I complained about the loss of muscle mass and she wasn't impressed.  "We need to get you stable."
She agreed that the bipap sounded more appropriate for me than the auto-pap but would really like me to see someone that is used to working with neuromuscular compromised people.  I have to schedule that tomorrow.
I have my annual appointment with my endocrinologist next week and must ask her to actively take over my diabetes management.  (I see her for the Graves.)  If she will not aggressively treat my diabetes (Insulin) I will have to contact Dr Peltier and we have to find someone that will.  I would like to know what is causing the high sugars to start with.  I can have high sugars when only consuming about 500 calories the day before.  She says my sugars can go up from infection, pain, disease...  I am now taking 4 metformin a day and a glypizide, all started since MG treatment started and I only recieve steroids with my IVIG.
She tried to upbeat.  My eyes tested better, my strength was better, my cough is better, my swallowing is better.  I don't feel much better.
She was totally stumped when I told her my kidney growth had shrunk.
Enough whining for me.  Somebody will have to start policing me and kick me in the butt every time I start to get negative.  Doesn't accomplish anything for me.

It\'s going to be OK. You are just going through a rough patch because you have been sick and overworked Not overworked for the old Debbie. You know what you could do, now you need to focus on what you can do. Resting for a few days isn\'t going to make up for overdoing it for a month, look at it as pampering yourself, not being stuck in a chair, and you don\'t need to be stuck in a chair if you take it slow--a good walk through the woods. A friend said that ferns have been around for 350 million years unchanged and there are satisfied with the way they are. When Je is dissatisfied, he goes and sits i his ferns. Now I would get chiggers rather than peace, but you get the idea.
Love yu, b.

Oh Debbie, a good vent / pity party does a person good... or at least it does me but mine lasted a few days this time... I am sorry you are having such a hard time with getting all undercontrol. I agree listen to your doctor, stop and smell the roses... But who am I as I tend to not do this myself... prayers hugs that you get to feeling better. Annette

Debbie, I hate to hear you are not doing well. I wished I could make it all better. Let us know if Becca came through with your request and whether they worked. That was a good one. Lots of hugs and love coming your way, Cathy

Debbie,
Glad the prograf is kicking in and you are a \"little\" stronger. Can\'t remember if you are on prednisone but I\'m thinking I\'ve read some studies about the combination with prograf shrinking some growths.

Don\'t worry so much about your muscle mass. It will come back when you are stronger and you will get stronger but not until you learn not to push.
MG pushes back and always wins. I\'ve found that even with plex making me feel so strong afterwards, if I do too much, MG gives me a big poke to remind me it\'s still here then it hangs around making me feel worse. But you know all of this...we all do and we all push the envelope at times. It\'s just the letting go and putting \"Me\" first and listening to your body. We have to....mean, conceited MG won\'t have it any other way.

wishing you well my friend,

Debbie, My Fellow Lutheran!
You just laid out - for all of us?
Why it is: you have every right - to vent!
I never, not ever - hear you whine!
(There is a huge difference.)

You are one of the toughest people, I know - on DS.
In fact - you are a Warrior. A real Princess Warrior.

I would have given up, long ago.
You chose not to do that, plain and simple.
Powerful and strong.

But no one, repeat - no one:
Is strong - all the time, every day, in every situation.

I did not truly know - just how ill you have been.
I am humbled, by the example that you show us.
I do not even feel worthy - to wash your feet.
But Jesus already covered that lesson.

So? I owe you - a nice foot bath - and foot massage!
Someday - you\'re gonna get to collect on that!
Hugs - Ross

Good morning Debbie. I am sorry to hear you are having so many problems. As everyone else has said, venting is not whining. Venting is important and needs to be done now and then or we explode.

I hope your endo is willing to take care of your diabetes. That would be easier than looking for a new doc. You already have a new doc to get in with for your pulmonary.

If you find that Becca can truly poop pick up pills you really need to share her with us all, lol. Sorry, I couldn\'t resist. I love that kind of typo.

Actually, the pooped pills was originally Becca\'s typo and I have teased her about it ever since. I believe she was pooping potassium when she had cramps. LOL
