from silly to sillier........to she's gone and done lost her fool mind.
saturday. hmmmm, now what? half hour until high noon. if i were a gunslinger i'd know what to do. find o.k. corral on my gps and mosey on over asap. but i don't have a gps, by the time i figured out how to use it, nothing would happen - there would be no famous scene from the OK Corral.
so now what, well i fed the fur&purr set.........they are attacking the food. they both need to go to Miss Marilyn's School of Etiquette & Dance for Felines. can you imagine? annie sitting in a prissy dress with a peter pan collar, over a bed of stiff crinolines with shiny patent leather shoes, 4 if you please over lacy white ankle socks? and young master rio in a tuxedo? with a cummerbund, long tails and oh why not? a top hat too! he'll have patent leather shoes.........and long silk socks with sock garters like men used to wear way back in the day.............guess we'll have to upgrade Rio to Spats..........give him a slender cane. this only appears as a cohesive picture in my mind for a moment, then i see them scrambling to escape like true followers of Houdini!
i am itchy. nice to meetcha! ok sorry, silly pun........my skin is itchy, gonna have to break out the spray on lotion today. thanks to a friend's help i was able to get some vaseline spray aloe vera scent.........and it is very easy to use. the spray is light......smells good. (it is not heavy or greasy......!!!) it is much easier to use if your bendy mechanism is impaired!
i had a crazy dream. i was playing a part in the show LAW & ORDER.......the main actors were all huddled together on a street........the director had called CUT.......one of the "bad guys" pointed to my little finger, I had a butterfly ring on. A very intricate design, very pretty...........then he pointed to his "bad guy" buddy..........the other bad guy actor had a belt buckle with a bee ready to sting. i backed away from them both & turned my ring around so they couldn't see it. the two bad guys were a little too well cast, they gave me the "heebie jeebies."
then i was rattling on to actor Chris Noth .....nothing of importance, just babbling away, when he turned to face me directly ---i realized it wasn't Chris Noth at all, it was his body double.........unsettling how much he looked like Chris......lol, how does the mind dream this stuff up?????
then, in the middle of doing nothing, a real crime took place........cars pulled up, bad guys were switching cars and putting bodies in trunks - there were shooters on top of rooftops and we didn't know what to do..........we (actors) follow SCRIPTS, we don't fight crime in real life.
there was a lot of running & panicking --- body double actor guy scooped me up to carry me to safety..........which i must admit........was very very nice!!!! lol, nice indeedy, he was a very handsome strong guy............and then we all found out that it was a surprise scene within the scene and all the actors were going NUTSO! talking about suing & safety risks and how show management was trying to get them to do additional acting scenes with out contractual agreements and on & on.
everybody turned into a bunch of prima donnas......it was crazy......cuh razy! and then all of a sudden everybody wanted to go to a diner for breakfast........it was like 3 or 4 in the morning. and that's all i remember about that.
woke with a strong craving for a pecan waffle........if you ever come to the south you must at least visit a waffle house. it is an experience......just the way a server calls in your order for hash browns alone requires a degree in diner lingo.
When you go in they will ask you if you want your hash browns plain, with onion, or ham or cheese or tomatoes, jalapeno peppers , mushrooms, chili, with everything or with country sausage gravy.
From there they convert what you tell them into a call in order......."plain hash browns" (spread on the grill), "smothered" (with onions), "covered" (with cheese), "chunked" (with diced ham), "diced" (with diced tomatoes), "peppered" (with jalapeño peppers), "capped" (with mushrooms), "topped" (with chili) and "all the way" (with all available toppings). Recently, the option of "country" was added for hash browns with country sausage gravy on them.
So in my case the waitress would say "Order in.......I need smothered, covered, chunked, capped & country and remember that's only for the hash browns, she still has to convert eggs and toast into call in lingo too. It's a whole other language conversion and the place is usually slamming with organized chaos.
Part of the fun is listening to waitresses call in orders........part of the fun is playing Waffle House Hits on the jukebox (yes, they have their own hits!!!) and the final magaball fun is people watching!
the first time i went to a waffle house it was very late. i was with a bunch of girls.......and the guys at the next table were having a pickle sticking contest. slightly inebriated idiots throw pickles at the ceiling, whoever has the longest sticking pickles win.........a dubious honor at best.......i am pretty sure one of my southern friends closed my mouth cause i was staring like a gulping little fishie.
enough of my jabber.............stay warm, don't take any wooden nickels.......say your prayers, think of a favorite childhood memory and share it with someone soon.............don't wear tap shoes into the shower. don't chunk candy at cars, don't climb trees on alternating Tuesdays, never before 6 am and never after 6 pm...(and not on Mon/Wed/Th/Fri/Sat or Sun for obvious reasons, like you are not a squirrel is good).
don't eat vegetables unless you like them, veggies want to be liked ..........they have gotten a lot of bad press over the years and now need a lot of extra reassurance......what other nonsense can i share today? hmmmmm, well the mandatory law that requires people to wear cowbells is really just an urban legend......you don't gotta wear a bell. pj's are the new chic bodywear of the season......everybody wants to wear jammies and be like us..........i am nutty as all get out. wish we could all pile into our cadillac convertibles and go get some diner food!!!!!!!!!!!!!! let's all wear jammies and just GO! wanna???? love u, silly putty sparrow

What in the world did you eat before bed last night, Sparrow? Awesome dream. Makes about as much sense as most. But still lots of fun.
I\'ve never visited a waffle house, but I can see where it\'s an experience all it\'s own. Sounds like great fun! With this stupid illness, the calling out of the order might scare me half to death and send me runnin, but ear muffs might just solve that problem!!
Loved your silliness today!! So glad you share the \"wacky\" and the \"wonderful\" with your friends here. We sure do enjoy you!!!
Weekend hugs and kisses!! oxo
As a true southerner, I do go to Waffle Houses or did on occasion. What I like there is the chicken & eggs, but true to my southern heritage I do not get hash browns unless, God forbid, they do not have any grits.
I must have been in my early 20\'s before I even knew what hash browns were. My breakfast always consisted of either grits or rice. In fact my favorite breakfast during my youth was eggs, sausage, rice, cantaloupe & toast. That was at grandpa\'s. At grandma\'s, it would be country ham with eggs, grits, toast & jelly. If she had any of her sticky buns, then I was in \"hog heaven.\" At home, the meat might be liver mush or baloney.
That dream sounds like some I was having earlier this year.
I like your silliness Serce... I liked the thought of your kitties all decked/dressed up And even better us all in Jammies going out for a spin and perhaps a pecan waffle..YUM.
I thought it was pretty cool about the lingo of southern waffle house waitress/waiters. The pickle throwing folks...well good grief..!
Dreams I believe are just a way for the brain to work/blow off steam
A butterfly can symbolize longevity, creativity, romance, joy and spirituality. You may be experiencing a new way of thinking. What a dream though. Wow! Anywho.. and greenies for you Serce
Ha ha ha! I want some of whatever it was that you had. There must have been nuts included in the recipe LOL! And ok then I\'ll have the pecan waffles as well.Talk about action packed dreams, you don\'t need to go anywhere really it\'s all happening right there at \"Ruthies Movie World\" staring La Sparrow herself xox
