From $250k/yr to homeless in 3 & 1/2 yrs...

First, it was Sophia's medical problems that depleted every nickel we had...and my husband's retirement, etc.  Then, we lost our business...and last fall his job.  We were in a special agreement for the last 6 months with our mortgage company.  It gave us a lower payment while he tried to find work.  In exchange, we agreed to pay a higher payment after 6 months, or get out within 20 days.
That time is here.  My DH just talked to the mortgage company and we have to be out June 30th.  Oddly we have NEVER BEEN LATE ON OUR MORTGAGE.  And still are not.  But, if they don't get $3500 by June 9th, we have to be out on the 30th.
I'm on strict bed rest and cannot help pack.  :-(  We have no place to go...what an odd position to be in.
Our house was a very COMFORTABLE payment for us...we've been here for 7 yrs.  But, life turned upside down for us.
I know God has us covered.  I know He knows where we will go.  But this is so very hard.  After the call, my husband began vomiting violently and could not stand.  This is killing him.
Please lift us up in prayer.

I\'m tired of that saying that God does not give us more than we can bear but it seems like everything hits at once.

I\'ve been there... and God did make a way. Please do not allow this stress to send you into labor.

Hugs, Love & Rainbows!!!

I don\'t even know what to say. I know from experience that God doesn\'t give us more than we can handle. Some how some way thing will work out and you your family will be closer and stronger for it. God knows what he is doing even we can\'t see it. His plans are perfect. I pray your husband finds peace in all this and doesn\'t let this continue to effect his health. Having it over to the lord is the hardest thing to do but its the only thing to do.

Honey, this breaks my heart! Please check around because this does not sound right to me. I do Mortgages for a living and like Mamamando said there are programs out there that can help you. My friend lived in her house for over 2 years, no payment and just got PAID to move out (called cash for keys). A lender has to work with you regardless of the modification you signed. If you can prove a hardship and you are still paying they are CRAZY to not allow you to re-do your modification. Please please please call somebody for advice, don\'t let them bully you like this. THese big bank lenders and sharks and they break rules all the time.
I will be praying for you and DH. And here is something my MOm used to tell me \"It\'s always darkest before the dawn\"... this is going to get better. Please don\'t worry, you need to keep that baby snuggled up and stress free. Things do work themselves out and I know this is going to be okay.

XOXO Jen

Oh-I am praying for all of you--I know how hard things can get...we\'ve had our own series of terrible turns that makes you scratch your head and wonder how in the world any one person/family can have such bad luck. It\'s hard to talk about with other people (it was for me) so it is good that you have this outlet. There will be some way for you all to make due--something will turn. Money is just money but your health is irreplaceable, so I sincerely hope that your DH finds a way to not internalize this (and you, too!). I can only imagine how hard it must be on him, with the pressure of being in the \'provider\' role with another child on the way. I hope you two can support eachother and I am praying for a solution to your housing need. (((hugs)))

I should have mentioned that DH\'s salary was so high that he gets the highest level of unemployment...while it is a pittance to us, it is way higher than what would qualify us for assistance...

I will check into those suggestions you guys made!! We are with Citimortgage and have been told a million times that they are the WORST lender on the planet and we are living proof!! (Our loan was sold to them) We have NEVER EVER EVER been late! This is unreal. They were very clear and nasty with my poor sweet husband. I want to go kick someone there so BAD!! Where is Guido when you need him?!?!

And...we do NOT HAVE FAMILY. Thank you for your prayers!!

Thank you ladies SO SO MUCH for your encouraging words and prayer! I don\'t know why I feel so calm through this stuff, except that I know it is out of my hands...out of DH\'s hands...and God is in control...all we can do is WORK every reference/idea people give (Thank you Mamando and JenMink!!) and then pray as hard as we can. We used to have stellar credit with scores close to 900...now we have filed bankruptcy (maybe that is also a factor in why they can take the house so quickly? I don\'t know?) We have sold off possessions...watched one of our cars towed away...and still I know that all that TRULY matters is our family! I have never been a big worrier, but losing our little Matthew last Fall especially showed me that I would do ANYTHING to have every one in our family alive and well...and beyond that, everything in life is temporary. It is WAY MORE FUN to have money and to GIVE money to others!!! But, our tables have turned, so apparently that is not in God\'s plans right now for us. So, we have to trust in Him...and praise Him in the midst of our trials! (I keep hearing the words \"I will praise You in this storm\" from a popular Christian song.)

But my DH is NOT taking this well. And he does not see a ray of hope...or feel like God loves us at all right now. That is the saddest part for me.

I am so blessed to have you ladies praying for our family!! Thank you so much!!
