Friends and Prayers
Recently I asked for prayers for a little girl struggling to give birth to her own child. Thank you so much for your support. I have had much trouble with this situation and was quite upset when this child went against her raising. For my northern friends, that means she was raised in a good Christian home but her problems and age caused her to make poor choices.
The mother of the new baby was raised by her Grandmother, a good Christian woman of high morals. The birth parents were ruined by drugs and could not provide a good home for the girl. So even though it caused a financial burden on the Grandparents, they provided both love and financial support for her. Her Grandpa died, her birth mom died, her favorite uncle also died within a two year period. Still in high school, her little brain told her if she had her own child, she would always have someone to love. She set about doing so with little effort and very bad choices. Now, here we are with a 17 year-old-Mom, a 15 year-old-Dad and a worn down Grandmom and great Aunt and a beautiful little infant.
This only affects me because my granddaughter is a friend of hers and the grand mother is a friend of our family. I have to explain this all to my grand child as she sees the beauty of the new baby, loves her friend, and decides what is and is not acceptable standards. It is hard for my daughter and I to do this when by social media the standards aren't there very much anymore.
I'm getting preachey now, so I'll close but if anyone out there understands, explain it to me.

one of my sisters had two babies back to back, both born in October, one year apart. she was still a child herself........and it was hard. the father of these two children was an extremely immature adult male who my father wanted to shoot. with his 22 shotgun. jessica was born when my sister was 15 and jamie was born during her 16th year.
my sister didn\'t understand the choices she made, she was struggling, lost, unsure of herself and very flattered by the attentions of that 24 year old man.
24 is not old by any means, but to engage in an intimate relationship with a child is hard for me to comprehend. i knew this guy and wanted to beat him to a pulp............so long ago, but some feelings never completely go away.
sorry.........gotta keep moving forward. i will pray for this young mother, for this beautiful infant, for the new father........children raising children is hard, heartbreaking........i hope that somehow she finds strength through God, through the compassionate loving ADULTS in her life........that she can become a strong parent, a loving caring giving Momma to this child...........it takes a lot of prayer and understanding.........it is hard........so so hard on everyone involved.
of course it is concerning.............on so many levels........it\'s hard enough to be a parent when everything is together, old enough, got stability emotionally, financially and spiritually........when you\'re married and you have a loving partner. it\'s a lot to do, parenting is the the hardest job you\'ll ever love.........
i will keep praying..........and thanks for sharing this..........venting is good, sometimes we all need to let out a little sermon from the pulpit......it\'s alright......i get it. take care, hugs, night Soapy, ruthie
