Friday Ramble......stop & sit a spell, rest awhile.

Hello,
I'm doing my thing today.  More than usual actually.  I am dressed in street clothes.  It's a wonder that the fashion police haven't come in and put a boot on my closet door for wearing pj's for most of 2012.  Nothing fancy, just some black jeans, a pink tee and a flowery gauzy lady shirt over top.
It looks like something a mid fifty year old lady would wear.......and that makes me laugh.  Cause I don't usually dress according to type.  I mean yes, I am that age, but the inside does not feel like it matches the outside.
Feel like I am playing the part of the Grandma in some TV sitcom......and this is what the stylist in wardrobe made me wear.  But no, I picked it out and part of me likes it.  (little giggles) The colors in the top bring out the silver on my old head and the blue in my spry eyeballs so what the heck.  Denying the aging process is normal........in many ways I am very content with my age, but when it comes to style I still like to stray away from stodgy..............today's shirt is borderline. Yeah, borderline stodgy........definitely.  Still giggling.
Silly Sparrow........ I've been doing laundry today.  Sheets, rugs, towels, jammies..........good job.  There is the little matter of getting the stuff back ON THE BED.  But not yet, so let's not worry in advance shall we?
I brought the vacuum cleaner inside.  Don't know yet how that will turn out either.  Seems like a 50/50 shot that the bedroom carpet will benefit.  Right now I'm pretending it's an art exhibit installation......a modern piece representing mankinds fight against dirty.......er ah rose colored illusions? Maybe we could put some kind of plaque on it to officially represent this art delusion I am having?
When to nap today?  Not sure.  I woke up with a tight chest, sneezy, choky......lump in my throat, drippy nose......took some generic dayquil and it helped.  Most of the symptoms have backed off save the shivers, heavy eyes........so sleepy.  A hypnotist could have me out in seconds.
Bruce is coming by to do some stuff.  Blow leaves, put the hoses away, put the insulated thingies on the water dealios outside.  Gonna try to talk him into boxing up some stuff for Goodwill, if I remember.
The sheets are dry.........hang on! OK, load number three is in the dryer.  WOW.  I feel so productive.  I even dried and styled my hair today.  Monday wore me out so I've been down for the count since then.  It's nice to be in the upright position................and it will be super lovely to rest in clean sweet smelling sheets again.  Ahhhhhhhhhh, color me happy.
Shivering and I just started to hiccup.  Rats.  Not too bad.  I dusted the furniture.  I could use a cleaning partner today.  I feel like baking, but that is more of a feeling than an actual.  Don't start counting your cookies until they're baked.  I made it through brownie craving days alright, now to get over the cravings for cowboy cookies.  What else?
I got the loveliest, most perfect card from a caring thoughtful friend this week.  I will cherish it......it really lifted my spirits and I still can't get over how insanely cool the card is..........I feel so blessed. A dear friend is a treasure beyond silver, beyond gold.........thank you God for gifting me with this new friend.
And I got to have a seriously long chat with a very dear friend that covered so many emotions as we shared recent life and times......and there was a lot of laughter too.  It wore us both out, but sometimes we have to do things to nurture and pamper our spirits.
So often we find ourselves saturated with all the trying, the obstacles and the worries and we can't take in or take on one more thing.  We begin to leak all over the place.  Friends help us.......they listen, they cheer us on, they lend support and they share the nicest things......ti is so humbling, so overwhelming sometimes to be the recipient of such kindness.  God is good, blessing me with so much this year via good friends.
Monday is doctor appt. day.  I can't remember exactly what the appt is for, just that I have to show up.  We will probably discuss something new.......like um ha ha he he ho ho......chronic illness.  Goody goody.  Sorry, sarcasm is probably unbecoming.  Having care is a blessing, it's just the driving and the waiting and the having to go that feels not so blessed.  My mouth still hurts, you would think it would be the tooth they fixed, but no.......it is the tooth that connects to that tooth when I bite down.  I can't decide if I need some dental tweaking or if this is just a fibro thing.  Hard to tell sometimes.
Thanks for dropping by.  Got a stack of mail staring at me.  I just gave it the stink eye.
Your friend, the ever adult do whackado bird of wonk.

You are so creative! How is your modern art installation regarding man\'s fight against dirt? I wonder if it\'s a travelling installation and will be in my town sometime soon.

I\'m glad you\'re feel relatively well! Hooray! I wish you a delicious nap later.
