forgiveness, autumn and pain
forgive me but i haven't gone to my last journal. truly asking forgiveness. focusing on this time. being present in the here and now.
we had a cool autumn rain here in Georgia. calming, soft.......drapes the earth in this dreamy watercolor landscape. a perfect day to drift and contemplate.
i pulled myself slowly into this day. waited for a reprieve or a sign to help me rise and conquer one small step at a time. i prepared a two meal feast for myself. a small red roasting pan with a chicken breast tidily split in half. freshly pared potato slices surrounding the meat. poured chicken gravy over it, foiled the pan and slid it into the oven. plan to check on it in an hour.
in the meanwhile there is a large pitcher of freshly brewed peach tea cooling on the counter. a pot of baby carrots are bubbling in a pot of brown sugar flavored water. a good well rounded southern meal to celebrate this Sunday. dressed in comfy fall colors.....hair curling up ....whispering in my ear that it's time for a hair cut......
i even put tiny diamond studs in my ears. just because no one is coming doesn't mean that no one is here. i am here, God is ever present.....the kitties are curled up sleeping. the frig is humming companionably along. i hung the fall wreath on the front door. ahhhh. today can be nice. today can be a good day.
find the peace within, share it with your space.......praise God for every baby step taken. breathe.........

Ruthie - what time is dinner - perhaps i can get there from NC as I too am all alone today - except I don't have a diamond stud to put in my ear only an unna boot on both legs once a again. Ruthie i will close with a prayer & a lot of tar heel hugs for my georgia peach.

Hi Ruthie, I had a few problems with DS the other night. Read your last journal and tried to comment on it. It looks like a little of what I wanted to say went through, which surprises me anything is there! DS hung up like it did back in the old days. I've been so overwhelmed with my life - spending a lot of time helping my husband with his health problem and having a new health issue of my own to deal with. Phew. Trying to catch my breath and get back to my normal routine soon. You peach tea sounds yummy. I hope your dinner turned out well, and how nice that you made enough to have again tomorrow. Take care, and I hope we can chat soon!
Hello lovely. You write so beautifully. I don't remember ever having peach tea....don't think I've ever heard of it. Maybe I've just forgotten. Sat morning here, feeling flat and lost and overwhelmed again. Just woke up...the toddler will be in to jump on me any minute. How did my life end up like this.? I need to change my head space. Somehow. How to accept my situation and make it happy. Need to change my life. Stuck...Wish I could come see you Ruthie..have a hug and a cup of peach tea..sounds rather English. Bye love Di xo
