Food Cheat
I'm not proud -I kinda went on a chocolate pudding binge. I just wanted a little treat and after making four boxes of pudding. My kids ate it all! When I woke and saw there was none left I couldn't stop thinking about that pudding! So, I made more and this time I ate it first! It was such a great feeling to satisfy that chocolate craving but now I feel kinda bad since getting on the scale tonight, I gained a pound instead of losing another :(
It's okay, I really do think I am more committed now than I have been in the past decade. Actually, my boys have been very helpful in supporting me with my lack of will power. When I go to the supermarket, they put back all the things I go to buy on impulse ;) I am very grateful for their continued efforts helping me to get back into shape.
They remember how much I did with them prior to my first surgery and all the sports I taught them and played with them. In my mind, some days, I think I can get back to doing those things, but then when I have trouble emptying the dishwasher or tying my laces (always off to the side now) I get a quick dose of reality and snap out of it.
Anyway, today is a new day...I will drink as much water as I can possibly take and eat conscientiously healthier than ever. Grilled chicken, salad with balsamic vinegar (a pinch of olive oil), and fruits and veggies. I should also be getting to the gym in for a short time today- I am expecting some company later in the day.
I am finally tired; I fell asleep for a few hours in the afternoon and I've been awake since 8:00 pm. Good night

hi friend, i\'m so happy you are looking forward to healthy eating, and drinking water :) i too, have candy/chocolate cravings at times. 2 weeks ago, i noticed 1 week, where i barely had any sugar, and then, for the next 3 days, i went completely off that track, eating lots of chocolate, at night time, and i too, felt bad afterwards, the cravings for the chocolate were very strong. what helped me to overcome those late night cravings, was making sure i eased a little sugar back into my diet, during the day time, it has helped me, and i find that my sugar cravings aren\'t as strong as they were. granola bars, or fresh fruit, are good sources of cravings, also, i love grapenuts cereal, and i sometimes put some honey onto the cereal, honey is a good natural sweetender, i use honey to sweetened my tea, or coffee :)
i\'m sending my support, and encouragement, to let you know, you aren\'t alone, and will always have our support, and it\'s also a great blessing, you have your family there for you too, and are with you all the way, on this journey :) keep us updated when you can, on how things are going :)
