focus

yup trying to focus on the good.
glad to be up today, standing isn't great, but sitting is nice.  annie and rio are happy to see me sitting in my rolling chair i think.  and hopeful that i will play with them.......soon cat kids, i promise, soon we will rabblerouse.
so how is the world?  spinning slowly i hope, i hope......want to take a shower sometime today.........missed ya'll.  yesterday i started to have more alert, coherent thoughts.  (beyond the exhaustion/pain) started thinking about illness/flares/crashes in relation to architecture.
The architecture of illness creates bricks.  Bricks build walls.  Walls lead to isolation.  Thought of tiny spiders building their webs too.......there are many ways to separate us easily from others when we are down for the count.  who wants to fight through the webs and bricks and silence to figure out if we are ......let alone how we are sometimes.  some do..........some do, that is wondrous isn't it!  the hugs ya'll sent, the kindness.....the care.  it is harder for me to ask my family in general.  that sounded critical, i apologize, i know they have a lot on their respective plates ---- I should have had six or seven ...heck ten, make it an even dozen.......go for broke it's a FANTASY.....!!!!  so there would be more kiddoes to look after the parents as they age.  doh, what was i thinking????????  silly silly me.  two seemed like more (a lot more) when they were growing up........but now i wish i had a herd. lol.  angelina jolie seems pretty smart to me about now.......she's creating a herd for her future health/well being plan.
so back to focus.  sam helped me pick out an air purifier.  it came last week, now he is sending his friend Leanne to help me set it up.  It is a very cool tool, but complicated........she already has one just like it and she is willing to help me.  She and her mate used to live in Hong Kong.  She said that is when they got theirs because the air quality in HK is not very good........I heard a different accent though and inquired if she were from Australia.......she confirmed that she is from Aussie.  Funny how little my world is and yet it seems to expand in ways that boggle the mind ------ our world has changed in so many ways, it is amazing, marvelous really.
huh.........now i have until Thursday at one p.m est lol, to rest up enough to listen/understand her instructions.  This machine is so cool --- I can't wait until it is hooked up and cleaning my air.........wahoo.  wish it had less bells and whistles, but once it is programmed Leanne promises that I can become a superstar..........lol, me, a superstar.............nope I can't imagine it either. aw c'mon giggle with me.......!!!!!!
I just want to make it to street clothes from pj's and if I can get to the pharmacy for muscle relaxers ----- that would be sweet .........and eggs.  Need eggs.  Ok and some ice cream too.  I am having a quiet little love affair with pistachio ice cream w/almonds.
I like cauliflower and brussel sprouts now.........I really really do. Weird, but true. I wonder what other veggies or foods I might like now that I used to hate for forever and ever.  Do you have any recent food discoveries like that?  Are any of them good for you???????  .....lol.......I'm kidding, but seriously I am shocked that I like brussel sprouts.  I think I held the world record on most hours logged sitting at a dinner table until they were gone as a child.  I went to great lengths to bury/hide those devils as well as anything our Mom created out of her infamous cream sauce.....blechhhhhhhhh!  I may need a piece of chocolate therapy about now........yes, you too........happy to share.  I say childhood food trauma can be overcome with a little bit of melty sweet delicious chocolate................there there!
I'm not feeling very good, but here's the deal, I feel good enough to complain and that is great......lately I couldn't.....it took me a few days to figure out what to do about my smoke alarm in the kitchen.  it was beeping.....woke me up, i made it to the awful source of the noise, pushed a button and went back to bed.  this went on for a few days, i was too out of it to understand that i needed to take the old battery out.  able to take if off the wall, thanks to the most awesome footstool ever, this one has a steadying waist high handlebar on it.  love this, wish i had one much sooner and they are not very expensive........i think i thought they were.......now i am safer and can stop the NOISE.
but i digress......i got that noise making safety device (note tongue in cheek) off the wall and then couldn't figure out how to make it shut up.  could not figure out how to open it up, considered killing it, but that seemed like... ahem overkill..........found my glasses, noticed that it has a small trapdoor on the back of the whole doggone unit and then sat down to have a good belly laugh.  i did this last time too.  devices are just not my thing.........i am device impaired.  accepting who we are is half of the battle.  so now i have the dealie sitting on the table waiting for me to go into the garage.  i have a plastic box with batteries, i don't think i have any 9 volts, but ya never can tell............shoot, i'm so glad to be sitting up talking about anything, anything at all......lint/dust, not bugs really, some things never change.
...............the kitties have been getting into one of the windowsill plants......messing w/the leaves and then leaving disgusting upchucked floor samples.  It's not a new plant......and they don't bug the other two that are exactly the same. so weird........I moved it to the top of the frig for now.........wonder if I have been forgetting to give them their second meal of the day this last week?  I give them some dry food in the am and then a split treat of wet food in the evening.  Or it could be that Rio is older now and hungrier????????  not gonna worry anymore, i know i overdid and went to beyond wonkland for a while.  got chills and aches and pains.....but it was a beautiful day today.  watched the breeze  and sunlight play with the leaves today outside my window............it is a beautiful day.
i had a great time sailing, not going to regret it........i promise, just got to rebuild those precious energy darts>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
now then where is my private chef?????????????? who said chef boyardee?  naughty, lift your left hand up and slap it with your right hand.....!!!  lol...........God Bless Ya'll.......tuckered from all this word puttering......xoxo, Sparrow

Came back from the doctor with new meds, took a nap and slept sounder than I have in months, till my cat Jadee woke me, squawking (there\'s no other word for it LOL) She will never go unfed, that one!
thank you for your words and letting us \"see\" your world today and glad it was a beautiful one. I laughed out loud at your smoke alarm, \"device impaired\"--not only am I that way too, so is my husband. we have to google everything \"how to change a battery in the smoke alarm\"... thank God for the internet.
Rest well, new friend, glad you could write, may tomorrow be even better!

Glad to see you and Annie and Rio back!! Happy that your pain is leveled out enough to get you here to your friends. We miss you when you\'re gone.

So happy you will be getting an air purifier! These things are supposed to make a real difference in the air quality. Wonderful that you will have someone to help you get it in working order. I had one once, but something went wrong with it. A strange smell eminated from it. Turns out it was ozone leaking out. That ain\'t supposed to happen! They ended up recalling a whole load of those. I am SO sorry that I cannot remember the name of it. It was a HUGE product at the time. Just be sure that you don\'t notice any smells coming from the machine. You should smell nothing!

As for veggies! I love them all! I didn\'t used to like brocolli or spinach. Now I love both! I love most veggies. Not lima beans though. I was overdosed on them as a child, and can\'t stand the thought of them at this time in my life. Our tastes to change.

However, chocolate, I love, always did, always will!!

Here in Jerseyland, if we have trouble with our fire alarms, smoke alarms or carbon monoxide detectors the fire department will send someone to the house, free of charge if you are unable to get to a store, and GIVE you the batteries you need an install the thing. Safety first. They would really rather come help a disabled woman fix her broken alarm, than pull her out of a burning house. If you think you make a call and get that help, I would give it a try.

Whelp ok, wonkie birdie!! Good to hear from you. No isolating within those bricks, ya hear? We\'re all waiting on ya!! K? K! xoxoxo

Hi Ruthie! I can breath now...was worryin\' about ya. :( Glad you had enough energy to chit chat with all of us. Rio & Annie sound like a ball of fire getting into things. Makes your life interesting.

How are your new plants doing that you planted in pots? Have you had cold weather yet? Not yet for us. I had a pretty good day. Got out to walk around Target.

Let we know if the air purifier helps with your Sjogren\'s. I\'d be interested to know.

Bed time for me...been having a hard time sleeping lately. Love ya friend. xo
