Flowers of summer
At one point the temperature hit 102 which felt like 113 on the heat index. late afternoon it is a balmy 97 and feels like 99 with the heat index.
They say you have to be a lizard to live in a Maine summer and a Polar Bear to live in a Maine winter. Tourists come here because they love the four seasons.
Had some errands to run today and stopped at a local Amish farm stand to pick up some strawberries and one of the workers said, "better get them today....they might be cooked tomorrow!" We bought two quarts!

Oh, those blossoms look lovely! enjoy the weather, and I agree, buying the strawberries today is an excellent food choice!
you take great photos...love the butterfly....it is hot here...I just got a little cooldown outside I took the hose to the outside portion of the AC and blew out as much of the gunk that gets onto the fins inside the AC which I could see coming out....so that helps my AC being able to cool....our high was 96 but the thermometer on my back porch in sun says 105....that is incorrect of course. I never get the good readings on heat with those probes out there....I put on under the awning in front porch and other day it was over 100 too but I do not know why....the weather guys have not had us over 100 yet this year....but the heat index is well over 100....
Hi Bob, very nice pictures of the flowers, and butterfly :) i'm so glad you all are keeping hydrated ,and cool, thru these very hot summer days. it's so nice you all enjoyed going to the Amish farm stand ,and bought some strawberries :) We love fresh fruit, vegetables, especially during summer time :)

Unfortunately, even here in Pennsylvania, our winters seem to be getting colder in the summer seem to be getting hotter and we don’t have very much of a spring or fall anymore, but not much we can do about it.
Yesterday, our high temp hit 101° with 107 on the heat index today or high temp is only 97° with the heat index of about 103°. Luckily tomorrow it’ll cool off only a high of 88°., lol
