Flooding
So, this morning Steve and I decided he would go to Pensacola on his own to retrieve Cassi's property. I have decided the reports can wait. I am not strong enough to read them and not disciplined enough to have them and not read them. They will be there when I am ready for them. The property warehouse where Cassi's cellphone and wallet was flooded dur to all the terrible storming last week. Steve was told the property in unharmed, but they are getting the warehouse back in order and not issuing any property at this time...maybe another week or two. I am terrified that in all the chaos my daughter's last communications may have been obliterated. Maybe not, but if that is the case I have no choice but to accept it.
I hope Cassi knows we tried...I can't help but to feel I have failed yet again.

You have not failed. Everything happens for a reason. Perhaps you are being sheltered from what you are not ready for. I think your deciding to let Steve go is wise. You are trying as much as you can like all of us are. There is no word fail in Heaven. There is only \"be\". Love and prayers, Lauri
You have not failed! I too agree with Lauri - sometimes we think we know what is best for us but God has another plan to protect us. Time, my friend - take time to take care of yourself, rest, cry, breathe......the answers will come soon enough when you are ready. Much love to you to today. Vicki
You have NOT failed!! Please don\'t allow this lie to enter you soul.
You have done and continue to everything you possibly can....and it is enough!
Breathe darling....just breathe...
Oh my dear. You have not failed. Cassi knows how much you care.
Love and hugs,
Marlene
You certainly have not failed!! You are trying so hard and your Cassi knows that. What is out of our control can not be helped. You will surely receive her things, when the warehouse is back to normal. Just try to survive today. One step at a time and breathe...
(((HUGS)))...Julia
You have NOT failed. Allow me to suggest that Cassi does not WANT you to have these articles and that God is moving in your life in a huge way, today, and will always.
Cassi does know that you are trying and as all your sisters of the heart have said this is NOT a failure. Things happen such as this and when they don\'t align themselves easily I\'m with Jill and feel that perhaps it\'s just not meant to be...
However this does unfold please know that these kinds of things are beyond your control.
Keep walking my friend and know that you are held in understanding and love,
XO Joanie
You have not failed at anything, Gina. This is one helluva tough road we are on and it is the roughest in that first year. I look back and wish I had done this, wish I had done that, but I know now that I did what my mind was able to handle at the time and I have come to terms with this. Shock, in my humble opinion, is a protector of the mind. In time, you will come to learn that physical property is nothing but stuff. No flooding can take away your love and memories.
Peace.
