First timmer here!
Well this is the first time I am doing anything like this. WOW! Big first step for me, other than admitting back in March that I had a problem. So much has taken place for me over the last nine months. Everything from a big location move, step-daughter having a diffucult child delivery (little guy is doing awesome), feeling more alone than ever, depressed, my kids not needing me as much, having had a family member pass away and a friends husband. That was the last straw for me. My mind decided to tell me that I couldn't handle all of this and that it was time to deal and move forward.
So I am now on Escitalopram for panic attacks, not sure I like it too much, I am walking everyday, trying to eat healthier, as well as other things. Also realized that the big location move was not a good idea so steps are being taken to turn things around.
I am hoping to meet supportive people that I can communicate with.
Here is to many good days with just a few not so good days thrown in.

Yes you have had a great deal to come to terms with over recent months and as we know too much will bring on anxiety and panic attacks. But you are in good company here on DS and if there is any advice to learn from, here in the groups such as anxiety support and loneliness you will find caring people who know how you feel.
I am in the depression, anxiety and loneliness groups so our paths may very well cross.
Whew! It sounds like you\'ve gone through a lot. It makes sense that you would feel anxious, depressed, and perhaps overwhelmed. I\'m a little surprised that you\'re taking Lexapro for panic attacks, as it\'s primarily a med for depression and generalized anxiety disorder. However, your doctor would know better than I do! : ) I hope that it helps, along with your changes to diet and exercise. I think you\'ll find a lot of support on this site. It\'s a great group of people! All the best, Judy
Thanks Ladybug7. I am finding a lot of welcoming people here and that is what I need. I would sooner be doing things naturally without any meds but for now I will take the meds and will be having a conversation with my Dr. in a few days about doing things differently.
